T'was the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring...

If you're in need of a quick Christmas snack idea, this is it!
- Make two pieces of toast, and cover them with your favorite topping (we used peanut butter, but jam or nutella would work well too!)
- Cut three thin slices of banana for the head and ears. We used a round cookie cutter to take a small bit off the corners of the ears so they'd sit tight against the head, but you don't even have to!
- Get out whatever you have on hand for cake decorating sprinkles! We dug the black bits for eyes and nose from a Halloween set, and the round pink nose from a unicorn set of sprinkles, but often you can find something to work from absolutely ANY sprinkle mix!
- the holly on the blanket is optional... I used a paring knife to free-hand the two leaves from a piece of cucumber skin, and we used a drinking straw to cut the three round holly berries from a thin slice of strawberry.

This snack is so simple, so cute, and I bet most of you already have toast and a banana on hand, am I right?!

Which one would you eat first?

This funky little snowman platter is a fun idea if you're wanting to serve a festive snack but don't have a lot of any one thing. For this one, we literally just raided the pantry and fridge and grabbed a handful of anything that seemed kind of round! Each one turned out so unique, but that's what makes them special, don't you think?!

Raise a TOAST to Christmas! 🍞

REINDEER TOAST:
- Start with a piece of toast covered in your favorite spread. We used Nutella, of course, but anything works!
- Add two slices of banana, one for the body, and one for the head. Add four pretzel legs (I used two pretzels and broke them in half). Using a curly pretzel, break it in half for the antlers (I often have to break a couple before I get antler-like pieces).
- For finishing touches, we added cake decorating sprinkles for the eyes and mouth, a pomegranate aril for the nose, and a couple leftover broken pretzel pieces for the tail and ears.

SNOWMAN TOAST:
- Start with a piece of toast covered in your favorite spread. Add three slices of banana to be the snowman.
- Add two pretzel pieces for the arms, and a triangle of strawberry for the toque (we added a marshmallow pompom, as well).
- We used twizzlers pull 'n' peel licorice for the scarf, but bacon, a thin slice of deli meat, a sliver of peeled carrot, or a piece of cheestring all work well as a substitute if you don't have this!
- The eyes, mouth, and buttons are all cake decorating sprinkles, as is the little carrots nose! If you don't have the carrot sprinkle, a triangle of regular carrot works great!

Save this post to WOW your kids with one of these (or both) during Christmas holidays, or share with a friend who may need a simple snack idea this holiday season!

🕸 Droppin' in with the quick, simple, healthy, CUTE snack inspiration you know and love!

It doesn't get any quicker, easier, or cuter than this spider snack idea right here... and since we're all drowning in candy this time of year, it never hurts to have a fun fruit idea like this saved, as with a presentation like this, your kids may find an orange just as enticing as all the chocolate!

You'll need two mandarin oranges, some eyeballs, and a couple curved cake decorating sprinkles for the eyebrows and smile... that's it for this one! Peel both oranges and then remove just under half of the segments from one... you want the butt portion to be a little taller than the head if you can, so you want to have more than half of the segments still attached, and then these will be the butt. With the second orange, break it more in half, and it will be the head. Using the remaining segments, lay out four on each side of the "butt" orange to become the legs. Lastly, add your eyeballs and sprinkles. If they don't stay where you want them, a tiny dab if peanut butter or cream cheese, etc, works as a perfect edible glue! I added a piece of red licorice so it looks like he is dropping in from a web, but this step is optional.

His expression says it all... "How is it October 1st already?!"

This snack tray was a fun one to make, and is soooo beginner-friendly too! You'll need blueberries, popcorn, some mini marshmallows for the teeth, and something to use as the eyeballs. I used some creepy cool eyeball chocolates from local chocolate artist for mine, but gummy eyeballs are about the same size and usually easy to find in stores this time of year if you need a substitute!

First, lay out your popcorn in the middle of your tray in a skull shape, then fill the outer edges with blueberries. Move some popcorn out of the way and place your eyes, then move more popcorn out of the way to be the mouth and then add two rows of mini marshmallow "teeth." Lastly, make two small nostril holes, and your spooky skull food art tray is complete!

Are you here for SIMPLE food ideas that are QUICK to put together and CUTE enough that your kids might actually be excited about them?

If so, you're in the right place because simple, quick, and cute just happens to be my specialty!

One of my favorite snack hacks for any season is to pick up a few fun cookie cutters. Here, I've used a ghost shape and some sliced white cheese to make some spooky ghost toppers for our sandwiches. After cutting out your ghost shapes, use a drinking straw to cut out holes for the eyes and mouth, then place them onto your favorite sandwich for some festive Halloween fun.

I use this ghost-shaped cookie cutter a lot this time of year in all sorts of ways. In fact, I used it on the Halloween char-Boo-terie board I posted last week... be sure to check that out if you missed it.

It's char-BOO-terie, baby, and it's the ultimate mix of savoury and save-worthy!

A snack board is perfect for any occasion, including Halloween! I don't know about yours, but my kids get SO excited about snacks like these... so many choices, all in one place! Board-snacks are fun because you can add literally anything, and working around a theme, such as a major holiday, makes them twice as great!

Frankenstein Monsters: kiwi, pretzels, and various sprinkles
Witch Brooms: pretzel and cheestrings
Eyeballs: handmade chocolates by
Ghosts: crackers and meat topped with white cheese (I used a small ghost cookie cutter to shape the cheese and a drinking straw to make the eye and nose holes)
Skulls: white chocolate poured in a mold from

Don't forget to hit the ❤️ if this post made you smile today, and give it a save for easy reference if you plan to make your own version before Halloween!
