14/07/2025

In this episode of the Super Daddy Club Podcast, we pick up where we left off with Dr. Robert Melillo, world-renowned brain researcher and bestselling author of Disconnected Kids. This is Part 2 of our conversation, diving deeper into the theory of Functional Brain Disconnection Syndrome (FDS) and how it may be at the root of the dramatic rise in childhood neurological conditions.

We explore how brain imbalance forms during development, why movement and primitive reflexes are key to understanding symptoms, and what role inflammation, gut health, and early milestones play in long-term outcomes. Dr. Melillo also shares insights into early signs, the risks of overmedicating, and his perspective on whether these conditions can be reversed through targeted treatment.

 Topics Covered in Part 2:

What is Functional Brain Disconnection Syndrome?

Why brain hemispheres fall out of sync

The importance of movement and primitive reflexes in early development

Inflammation, gut issues, and the immune system’s role

Early warning signs and risks of early ADHD medication

Is recovery possible? Dr. Melillo’s take on treatment and neuroplasticity

How the Brain Balance Program works and who it’s for

Dr. Melillo explains complex science with clarity, offering practical knowledge for parents, educators, and clinicians navigating ADHD, autism, and other challenges in children today.
