Drew has been the President of Mighty Motion Pictures for the past 10 years, prior to that he was founder and President of The Idea Factory! He began work in television as a

Writer, Producer and Director at CFRN Television in Edmonton (CTV) and then he acted as the Head of the Commercial Production Department at CBC Television. His commercials have won several national and regional awards. (TVB, AMPIA and CAN PRO)



Over the past 25 years Drew has Executive Produced and Produced hundreds of hours of TV programming that has aired nationally in Canada. Drew has Produced for all of the major television networks and station groups in Canada, namely, CBC, Global, CTV, CHUM, and A Channels and has provided programming for several of the Specialty and Cable networks such as HGTV, YTV, Bravo, Much Music, Life Network, Prime, Star, Movie Central, W, CBC Documentary Channel, and CBC Newsworld. He has also created programs for PBS and Discovery Channels in the United States and many of his productions have been distributed internationally. He has worked with several educational broadcasters such as ACCESS, CLT (Canadian Learning Television), SCN (Saskatchewan Communications Network), and The Knowledge Network as well as the NFB (National Film Board of Canada) and the Christian Broadcasting networks; Crossroads Television (CTS), The Miracle Channel, i-Life TV, NRB Network, CBN, The Worship Channel, Kids & Teens Television, Faith TV, Cornerstone TV, Trinity Broadcasting Network, Total Living Network, Inspiration Network, New Life Channel (Russia) and Angel TV (Singapore). In 2016 Drew Executive Produced and Produced, the internationally acclaimed documentary feature, HUSH on the untold health risks of abortion, which won Best Documentary at Life Fest in Los Angeles a Silver Remy at Worldfest in Houston and a Golden Award at the World Documentary Awards in Jakarta. In 2015, He Executive Produced and Produced the live Children's Concert Water For Life for CTV2 and PBS. In 2014 he acted as Unit Production Manager on the Feature Film, Cas and Dylan with Richard Dreyfuss. In 2013 he Wrote, Directed and Produced the one hour documentary Journey of Hope for PBS. His Executive Producer and Producer credits also include 52 episodes of Sew Much Fun (HGTV and PBS) 230 episodes of Top Story, a daily current affairs program, the children’s series, Maralee Dawn and Friends (13 X 30 mins), 26 half hours of Linda McPhee’s Workshop, 26 hours of the documentary series, A Priest, A Monk and A Rabbi (also aired on CBC Documentary Channel) and 26 hours of Close Up a biography series, and the 1 hour international award winning music special, Steve Bell with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. He wrote, produced and directed the 1 hr doc, Who Is Stan Reynolds? for PBS



He recently acted as a consultant on behalf of Crossroads Television System (CTS/YES) in the application for over-the–air stations in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. He was then hired on contract to act as the Regional Director of Production, managing all aspects of operations for the new stations including programming development and scheduling. Drew regularly attends NATPE, The Banff Television Festival, MIPCOM, NRB and ICVM to arrange co-productions, to secure pre-sales, and to distribute completed programs worldwide to broadcast and non-broadcast markets. Drew has served as the Chair of DOC Alberta and on the Board of DOC National. He is the former Vice President of the Alberta Motion Picture Industry Association (AMPIA) and a member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television and the Edmonton Ministerial Association. Drew holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Alberta and an Honours Diploma in Radio and Television Arts from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and a Diploma from The Word of Faith Leadership and Bible Institute, Dallas, Texas.
