$10,420. Holy hell.
Another year of is over. For 7 years I’ve been doing this and this year was the one I was dreading the most. With the baby on the way and friends/family being less interested in helping I struggled to get into the mindset to be excited for it.
Regardless, I knew this was important. To me, to the community, to the kids. So I sat down at my computer last night, after a full month of charity streams, and got to work.
I am so absolutely humbled at the amount we raised yesterday. $10,000 may not seem like all this much in the grand scheme of charity efforts but from a small group like ours, of just about 2000 people and maybe 300 ACTIVE, that is INSANE.
Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who donated, watched, helped me, suffered with me and made this year possible. Jo, who did as much as possible yesterday while being 9 months pregnant and being there every step of the way for our month leading up. Chris, for coming BACK to hot ones being an amazing friend and host and playing games, keeping me sane. Erica who’s screams kept me awake, James & Alex who kept me laughing like a mad man. Even Shaun, Jeremy, Jamie and Dylan who are my fellow AD creators who joined in on the fun.
