It's another long weekend in Hamilton and Burlington! Check out the 50th iteration of the Festival of Friends, featuring headliners Dallas Smith, Feist and a 50-year all-star concert with a who's who of Canadian music. It's all happening Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Gage Park.

Also on are more concerts in the Brott Music Festival, Emancipation Day events, Anchorball at the RBG, and special exhibits at the AGH. Happy Civic Day everyone!

This issue we profile the dogs of Therapy Tails Ontario (TTO).
Founded in Welland in 2010, the charity expanded into Hamilton in 2023. More than 200 volunteers and their companion dogs make more than 280 monthly visits to long-term care homes, retirement homes, hospitals and other healthcare facilities, schools, libraries, and businesses. TTO even visits detention centres, works with patients at rehabilitation centres, and meets aircrews coming off airplanes.

We need a big dose of dogs these days so HAMILTON CITY Magazine's new feature celebrates the city's canines. Send in your dogs (and cats)!
