Last nights Ponoka Stampede Tarp Sale was a record-setting night with a grand total of $576,500 up $23,500 from the previous record.

Jamie Laboucane received the highest bid of the night with $32,000. Kass caught up with the driver after to chat about the night and the focus heading into the GP Stompede.

Dayton Sutherland and Kass Patterson caught up at Aggie Days at the Calgary Stampede yesterday to talk about Thursdays Calgary Stampede Canvas Auction, where Dayton tied Chanse Vigen for the third highest bid of the night.

The two also touched on Dayton’s upcoming rookie year at the Stampede!

Last night Kris Molle (Circle M Stables Racing) took home the highest bid of the night at the Calgary Stampede Chuckwagon Canvas Auction, selling for $210,000!

Kass Patterson caught up with Kris afterwards to check in on how he was feeling and touch a little bit on how he feels heading into this year’s Calgary Stampede especially Blake Molle being invited to compete in the barrel racing event in the rodeo!

❓ Did you know? Dayton was our Chuckwagon 101 Driver at the 2022 Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby and we are excited to welcome him as an official competitor in 2024! A third generation chuckwagon competitor, Dayton is the grandson of chuckwagon legend Kelly Sutherland and the son of recently retired driver, Mark Sutherland. Dayton was a late addition to the 2016 WPCA Pro Tour and made his debut as a professional chuckwagon driver at the Battle of the North in Dawson Creek, giving the Sutherland family a rare and unique distinction of having three generations of drivers competing in the same race meet. When Dayton isn't driving or outriding, he enjoys playing hockey, loves music, and anything with wheels such as quads and dirt bikes.
