Don’t be fooled, I hate echeverias. What plants do you hate but own?

Everyone assumes plant lovers want an echeveria as a gift, please no more I beg of you. This is how I’ve acquired so many. Honestly I neglect them but I’ll chop them up when they become ugly. I underwater hence the roots but overwatering is the #1 cause of death IMO.

Echeveria opening up this morning!

I was cleaning around the yard when I realized this was no longer just two bracts standing as they had been fir about a week or so. Did not know they would form these heart shapes. What a beautiful surprise!

Help!
What am I doing wrong?
The issue is it’s growing upward and not sprouting at base so it’s top heavy. The aloe leaves are drooping. I have tried not watering her for 4 week straight then watering her more often and moved her to more sunlight. When I got her the leaves (or whatever they are called) were thicker and more spiny they are now skinner and the spins are softer.
This plant was dug up over 60 years ago in Arizona and was gifted to me to keep alive and I’m failing miserably
