BACK TO WHERE IT ALL BEGAN ❤️🎒

Pastor Jerry Eze returned to his former secondary school through his Back to School Project, giving back to the community that was once part of his own journey.

Students received school bags, books, and shoes, while teachers were also supported with bags of rice.

A beautiful reminder that true impact is not just about how far you go, but also about remembering where you came from and lifting others along the way.

In Kankan, Guinea, a wedding is more than a ceremony it is a celebration that brings two families and an entire community together.

Preparations often begin with traditional discussions between families, guided by elders whose prayers, blessings, and wisdom play an important role in the journey toward marriage.

Women are often at the heart of preparing the bride helping with her clothing, hairstyle, beauty rituals, advice, and cultural traditions. Meanwhile, relatives and friends come together to prepare food, decorations, gifts, music, and everything needed for the celebration.

The days surrounding the wedding can be filled with joyful gatherings, shared meals, singing, dancing, greetings, and words of encouragement for the couple. Each moment becomes an opportunity for relatives, friends, and neighbours to strengthen the bonds that connect them.

In Kankan, marriage represents more than the union of two people. It celebrates family, heritage, community, respect for elders, and the joining of two families as the couple begins a new chapter of life together.

SEPTEMBER BEGINS — AND CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD ARE RETURNING TO SCHOOL. 🎒📚

But in Makoko, Lagos, Nigeria, the journey to the classroom looks very different.

In this remarkable waterfront community, generations of families have built their lives along the lagoon. For many children, getting to school meant travelling through narrow waterways, passing wooden homes and sometimes arriving by canoe.

These scenes capture more than an ordinary school day. They preserve a moment in the life of a community undergoing enormous change — children learning, laughing, playing and dreaming despite the challenges surrounding them.

The classrooms may look different. The uniforms may differ. And the journey to school may be by road, on foot or across the water.

But wherever children live, the excitement of a new school year, a fresh beginning and the hope of a better future remains universal. ❤️
