Nobody talks about how hard it is to accept the fact that one day you have to leave this world. How we’re all walking around acting normal, making plans, chasing goals, and loving people all while knowing there’s an expiration date on our existence that we can’t see.
It’s scary when you really think about it… how fragile life is, how fast time moves, how tomorrow is never promised but we still live like we’re guaranteed a lifetime.
And what’s even harder is pretending you’re not scared. Pretending you’re okay with the unknown. Pretending you’re at peace with the thought of leaving the people you love behind… or them leaving you first. Nobody really talks about that part. The quiet moments where it hits you out of nowhere and your heart drops because the reality of life and death is heavier than anyone admits. But maybe that’s why we’re supposed to live gentler.
Love deeper. Forgive quicker. Chase what matters. And stop saving joy for “one day.” Because the truth is… none of us know how much time we’ve got, and that’s exactly why we can’t afford to waste the time we do.🖤
