Things to know before moving to Abakaliki:

1: House rent is expensive here compared to our income level, to see a decent room and parlor here, keep from 1m and above.

2: Transportation is high too, a drop on a bike for the shortest location is currently 500 naira na with plenty beg dem go take 300

3: Abakaliki has very good road network, almost all the streets are tiled and neat.

4: There’s constant electricity in the town, we enjoy at least 23 hours electricity almost all days except when there’s an issue with light generally.

5: Some foods are cheap here like rice, veggies and yam.

6: If you have a business here, stay away from opposing political parties, remain neutral or join the ruling party.

7: They have more single girls than men here and it makes cheating quite easy for some men here.

8: Majority of the guys in this town are married, engaged or in a serious relationship, the funny part is they will lie to you, they will act like a confirm single guy until they chop you like ugba or you find out the truth yourself.

9: Crime rate here is very low, very very low

10: We are quite peaceful but gossip people d kwa.

11: We have the neatest and most cordinated market in the whole of south east.

12: Investing in the town now is a good venture especially in real estate and hospitality .

13:Taxation is high with so many different people coming for different reasons .

14: Tt’s generally a kind town, we are like a community here and look out for each other a whole lot.

15:Married men and women cheat with themselves more than with single people

16:The state government is a friendly one and people oriented, they take constructive criticism and make visible changes, but some of their boys na werey.

Let's celebrate our newest graduate, Miss Chelsea Ezinne Obasi (the second daughter of High-Chief Chinedu Obasi), who bagged Masters degree in Pharmacy with Second Class Honours Upper Division from Ulster University, Northern Ireland.

We present to the house, Engr Diamond Chukwu, last son of Chief Dr Frank Chukwu (ChiUgoNegbuUgoNzu), of Ụmụ Anigwe, Enugu Mmaku, as he is now fully inducted into the Canadian Military Airforce in the rank of Officer Aviator.

Due to his advanced education he was promoted instantly after a tough and gruelling 4 months training program in the Military Camp in Quebec, Canada.

He’s official ranking ceremony was done on the 3rd of July 2025.

He has now been posted to the Ramstein NATO Airbase in Germany where he will spend 2 months on assignment at the air engineering facility before returning to Canada.

We as a people are very proud of Mazi Diamond and want to wish him all the best and God's protection as he joins the Elite Group of the Free world to free the world, Amen!
