** RUSSELL TASTING ROOM CLOSES **
In a few minutes, the tasting room at Russell Brewing Company will close for good.

Russell was the very last old-school production craft brewery in BC to finally open a tasting room in 2022, 40 years after the craft beer revolution started in 1982. Russell was a big part of celebrating that milestone when they released the John Mitchell 40th Anniversary ale that summer. We have fond memories of the launch party that day.

Now, too soon, the long-awaited tasting room in central Surrey is gone. Like The Growler, we stopped by for one last toast. See below for more about Russell's future.

📣WELCOMING BC'S FIRST BREWERY OF 2026🎉
Here's a special Happy New Year welcome to Hop Creek Farms Brewery, which just soft-opened its unique new tasting room in Brackendale, right by Squamish. Technically, that makes them the final brewery to officially open during 2025.

Our contributors the Beer Seekers happened to stop by this week, on their third day of service. They met the brewer (name is Daryl, if we have spelling correct), whose beers are spot on. He took a liking to brew dog Kira, and vice vera, so he is doubly vetted.

Superflux Beer Company recently hosted a reception with wildlife photographer Steve Woods to launch a new West Coast IPA in collaboration with the Raincoast Conservation Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from the West Coast IPA supports the Raincoast Conservation Foundation. Available on tap and in take-home 4 packs at the brewery. Also, a limited number prints, and framed canvases of Steve’s beautiful wildlife photography are available for purchase at the brewery 🍻
