Hosts Michael and Merrell-Ann describe how they felt after taping the Senator Dan Christmas episode:

1. Inspired that Membertou First Nation is trying to bring their highly educated citizens back home to live (many have left to get advanced degrees).

2. Happy because Dan was so open and personal – he even let us in on his first-ever phone call with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

3. Impressed with the clear plan that Dan helped develop to turn Membertou First Nation around, and why and how it worked!

4. Intrigued that Dan identified fear of others as a barrier to development.

Why did Dianne Saxe make it onto the Season 2 invite list?

We knew Dianne had been punished for taking a stand against the Ford government’s environmental policy and we wanted to know how that affected her. We were really moved when we learned how long lasting the impacts were for her and her staff. Courage can take a big toll. Dianne is an inspiration because she keeps on going, no matter what.
