"it's pretty scary"
"Guess what the biggest driver of this stock market rally has been? Leverage. For the first time ever, margin debt has topped $1 trillion and has ballooned +25% over the past year. Fully one-fifth of all the leverage supporting the stock market has been built up just in the past year alone; almost half of the outstanding margin debt has come in the past five years alone."

China levies 75.8% tariff on Cdn canola and fish exports in direct response to the federal government levying 100% tariff on Chinese electric vehicles and 25% on steel and aluminum exports.
Sakatchewan Premier Scott Moe responds: "The canola industry generates more than $40 billion annually and employs 200,000 people - bigger than the steel, aluminum and auto industry combined...they deserve the same attention by our federal government and our prime minister as we are seeing in other industries." All to protect a non-existent Canadian EV industry and curry favour with the US

Prime Minister's talking point on economic growth meets reality

On August 7, 2025, Marten Falls First Nation, located 400 kms northeast of Thunder Bay, announced its unwavering opposition to mining in Ontario's mineral rich Ring of Fire through a legal challenge seeking interim and permanent injunctions to prevent Ontario and Canada from funding or participating in mining-related activities in the region.

Note: The Ring of Fire holds significant deposits of critical minerals like nickel, copper, platinum, chromite, cobalt, and gold, valued at $60–$90 billion and rising.

Q: Will anyone in the media ask the Prime Minister about this?

Angus Reid poll found that over 30% of Cdn under 35 yrs are considering leaving Canada.

Youth unemployment 14.6% - highest since Sept 2010 (ex pandemic).
17.5% unemployment rate for students returning to school (15 to 24 yrs )
31% unemployment for 15-16yr olds, high school students

As public trust erodes and costs soar, families are packing up and heading south. The silent exodus has already begun. Read more.

A total 132,160 landed immigrants arrived in Canada from January 1 to April 30. The number if maintained would set the pace for 396,480 this year. Far higher than the Liberal's promised cap.

"If there ever will be a Palestinian State, the silver platter on which it is delivered will be the atrocities of Hamas on October7. When western powers like FR, UK, CA and AUS, “recognize Palestine” as we are fighting Hamas, the only winners are the terrorists."

Many argue that Alberta’s separation would spell economic disaster for the province.
While success would hinge on quickly securing trade & transportation agreements and resolving numerous logistical and political challenges, it’s equally true that Alberta could boom by designing a tax and regulatory framework capable of attracting capital investment from across the continent.

Public safety is always the rationale for government to restrict individual freedom.

Canada's record from wartime internments to pandemic restrictions to freezing bank accounts of people NOT charged with a crime to censorship demonstrate that public safety has repeatedly been used as a rationale to limit fundamental freedoms.
What began as a targeted fire-prevention strategy morphed into a blanket prohibition that impacts low-risk, everyday activities.

The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms promptly issued a legal warning arguing that prohibiting hiking, cycling, or walking—especially when these pose negligible fire risk—is “overbroad, arbitrary, and grossly disproportionate”, infringing on the Charter-protected right to liberty under Section 7.
