Happy to announce that Bright Idea Films is turning 6 this month! What started as a few high school film competitions became more exciting projects for shops, wineries and homes, which ultimately lead to building a team of amazing creatives to film couples’ best day evers! ✨

We are so grateful that we’ve been given the opportunity to be apart of so many couples’ lives. Being able to tell a story is at the forefront of what we do which makes weddings so much fun to work with from beginning to end. 🤍

So thank you couples, our team, vendors, venues, businesses, and everyone else we’ve worked with for these past 6 years, for shaping us and for giving us a chance to capture so many wonderful stories and memories. We sincerely appreciate everything and we look forward to sharing more experiences with you all this year! 😊

These are a few film stills from Olivia & Krystian’s wedding day at . With a few umbrellas in hand, we captured lots of amazing shots & laughter of these lovelies in the beautiful blossom gardens! There were soooo many beautiful colours everywhere but the blues were totally the winner in every shot. We can’t wait to share the final film with you all!!✨💖

SO EXCITED! This was our first wedding of the season at the wonderful
Pillar and Post in Niagara-on-the-Lake. 🍃🤍

When we got to the venue we could already feel all that excitement of filming weddings coming back. It’s going to be an absolute blast this year and we can’t wait to create awesome memories with so many lovely
couples and wedding vendor friends!!

Bubbles! 🫧 We had a blast filming for these lovelies at . Brooke and Jordan got married among rows of beautiful peach orchards with lots of bright, colourful flowers to pop against the lush greenery. The sun was out, everyone was smiling, and the day was just so easy-breezy and wonderful!

3 Things you NEED to tell your wedding videographer!

1. ✨ Your must-films
Do you have a unique event happening at your wedding? A performance you want to film? What absolutely needs to get on tape by the end of night? Let your videographer know as soon as possible. They need to be more than prepared to set up and get the perfect shot!

2. ✨ The DJ’s contact info + sound equipment info
Audio can make or break your wedding film. That’s why videographers need to communicate with the DJ, musicians, or venue in advance to check what equipment they have. This is so important if you want crisp, clear audio for the ceremony and speeches. Send the DJ’s email address to your videographer ASAP!

3. ✨ Your schedule
Schedules help videographers plan out when and where to set up and start filming. An experienced videographer knows the flow of a typical wedding timeline, but they need to be prepared for any unique events in advance!
