In some good news for B.C.’s hard-hit forest products sector, Domtar and the Province of B.C. are working together to re-open the Howe Sound mill in Port Mellon in mid-October, following a planned maintenance shutdown.

The closure of the mill impacted 400 direct jobs and many more indirectly through logging contractors, sawmills, suppliers and local businesses.
