🏅 Congratulations to Philippe Macnab-Séguin, recipient of the 2nd Prize at the 3rd edition of the Graham Sommer Competition for his work It Was Inside You All Along!

🌟 Honorable mentions were awarded to Francis Battah, Chris LaRosa, and Christina Volpini for their outstanding works and artistry.

👏 Chris LaRosa also took home the Audience Prize, voted live by attendees in Tanna Schulich Hall and around the world via our webcast!

👨‍⚖️ Meet the incredible panel of judges for this year’s competition! Their expertise and passion will guide the selection of our winners.

⬩ General Manager of the Centre de musique canadienne au Québec, flutist 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 promotes connections between Canadian composers and audiences.

⬩ 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴 is a cross-cultural composer and collaborator, specializing in Western and traditional Chinese music.

⬩ 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗴 is a Canadian pianist with an international performance career, both as a soloist and chamber musician.

⬩ Composer 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗵 prioritizes sonic landscapes in her music—commissioned and performed by renowned ensembles, such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic and New York Philharmonic.

⬩ 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗺 is a leader in the arts who has contributed to major Canadian music organizations in roles spanning artistic operations, strategic planning, and music production.

⬩ Composer 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗴 has won a JUNO Award for her multicultural pieces and commissions, and her works have been recorded and released on Naxos Canadian Classics, in addition to numerous other record labels.

Schulich School of Music professor of composition 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 will act as Chair to the jury.

⬩ 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗺 est un chef de file dans le domaine des arts qui a apporté sa contribution à de grandes organisations musicales canadiennes dans des rôles comprenant les opérations artistiques, la planification stratégique et la production musicale.
