This week we have taken the stories of www.hiddenandhardwork.ca to the beautiful Sorrento Centre Retreat & Conference Centre. It's always a joy to tell people about the incredible people doing work for peace hidden around the Vancouver area.

Every now and then I get a request for copies of Hidden & Hard work that make me especially excited. Last week a teacher from Alberta bought copies as a grad gift for some of her students. I am so happy that this book is seen as inspiring and is being used to seed inspiration. We had such a great night last Friday celebrating the launch of Hidden & Hard Work. So many wonderful people came out to listen to four of our contributors and the music of We Are Mystic. And what incredible stories from Frank, Loren Balisky, Beth Carlson-Malena and Niki Mansfield Frew: so heartfelt, vulnerable, and inviting. I am inspired by all these people do and so grateful to know them and learn from them.

Stay tuned for more events to come. We hope to have another night of reading and celebrating in Vancouver in the near future.

So very excited to be sharing the stories of Hidden & Hard Work this coming Sunday at West Point Grey Baptist Church with Matthew Kitchener.

The vision for this book is a vision of inspiration through storytelling. Hearing the stories of our neighbours puts in close proximity to the need for peace and the mechanisms for making it.

All the great work and great people in this book are from here (greater Vancouver), which means that readers of this book and its stories are invited to join their neighbours in all of their good work.

I am excited to say that the response to "Hidden & Hard Work" has been so positive, so encouraging. People seem to be really inspired by the stories (and pictures) of all these people working for peace.
