WHAT IS KELVIN CHABOGO FOUNDATION DOING?

Today, we were in Tezo, Kilifi County for our Food Shopping Saturday.

The team had a wonderful time discipling one of the widows we support, and more widows joined in for a time in the Word. As a result, the Aid Through Discipleship Program is growing steadily and impacting more lives.

Our vision is to support 50 widows with monthly shopping across all 47 counties in Kenya. Through both spiritual and material support, we are committed to meeting needs while building lives on the firm foundation of God’s Word.

You too can partner with us to reach out to widows and transform lives.

WHAT IS KELVIN CHABOGO FOUNDATION DOING?

Each week, the Kelvin Chabogo Foundation runs a discipleship program at Shimo La Tewa Prison, where inmates are taken through intentional teaching and spiritual growth.

Today, our team member Brother Julius Mutavi was on duty and faithfully discipled the juvenile inmates. We celebrate the impact of God’s Word in their lives.

The Bible reminds us that “the word of God is not chained” (2 Timothy 2:9). Even behind prison walls, the gospel continues to transform lives.

You can be part of this mission by supporting our work. Your giving helps us take the gospel and discipleship resources to places that need them most.

Aid Through Discipleship

At the Kelvin Chabogo Foundation, one of our most impactful programs is Aid Through Discipleship. This initiative is designed not just to provide food, but to transform lives.

Every month, widows whom we have already identified to be in need and walk alongside them by:

1. Providing monthly food shopping to relieve immediate needs.

2. Equipping them with discipleship, grounding them in the Word of God.

3. Supporting their social and economic activities, helping them budget, learn small business skills, and explore income-generating ideas.

Our heart is not just to feed widows but to empower them, turning them into strong, resilient, and powerful agents of change within their families and communities.

💡 How Can You Support This Program?

You can partner with us in the following ways:

1. Donate Food Items

We are currently stocking our Food Bank in Mombasa to support widows consistently.

2. Sponsor a Widow

With just KES 5,000 per month, you can support a widow’s monthly shopping.

Any donation, big or small, goes directly into sustaining this program.

What is the Kelvin Chabogo Foundation Doing?

Today, part of our team traveled to Kajiado County to visit my college classmate, Rev. Patrick Kerumpe.

Patrick serves faithfully under the PCMA churches, and it was a real privilege for us to see him thriving in ministry. Moments like these remind us that when we partner together whether through shared faith, friendship, or service God’s work is strengthened and celebrated.

We share these updates to keep you connected with the journey: what our hearts are lifted by, the lives we touch, and the communities we continue to support. Thank you for being part of this mission with us.

WHAT IS KELVIN CHABOGO FOUNDATION DOING?

Today, our team visited one of the dear ladies we support in Tezo. The Foundation was able to bless her with shopping and, more importantly, to share the love of Christ with her.

It was such a joy to see the smile on her face and to experience genuine fellowship together. These are the moments that remind us why we serve to touch lives not just with material support, but with the hope and comfort that comes from Jesus.

We share these updates so that you can see what the Foundation is doing on the ground and so that together we can celebrate the goodness of God in action.

How You Can Join Us in Touching Lives

You can become part of this mission in three simple but powerful ways:

1. Pray for us:

Lift us up as we seek to help those in need within our community.

2. Volunteer with us:

Join our team on the ground as we reach out with practical help and encouragement.

3. Support financially:

Give to the Foundation so that we can extend our reach and touch many more lives.

What Kelvin Chabogo Foundation Is Doing In Kenya?

By God’s grace, we have launched a Pastors’ Kids Mentorship Program to provide counseling, guidance, and spiritual direction for the children of pastors.

Across Kenya and Africa at large, pastors’ children have often been overlooked. While church members receive care and spiritual formation, pastors’ kids are frequently left on their own. Sadly, this neglect has contributed to many of them becoming rebellious and disconnected from the very faith their parents serve. As a Foundation, we asked ourselves: What can we do to help?

In one of our leadership meetings last year, this idea was born. After months of prayer and planning, we are excited to announce that the program officially began this month.

We currently have 30 pastors’ kids enrolled, and they will be mentored for four months, meeting once every month. Each session is designed to encourage, counsel, and equip them to grow in faith, character, and leadership.

We are grateful for Pastor Jackson Kaluwa, who has taken leadership of this initiative. He has worked tirelessly, engaging pastors and encouraging them to allow their children 20 years and older to join the program. His dedication has been instrumental in getting this project off the ground.

This mentorship program is just the beginning, We believe that through consistent guidance, these young men and women will rise to be strong, responsible, and Christ-centered leaders in the future

WHAT IS KELVIN CHABOGO FOUNDATION DOING?

Today, we were at Shimo La Tewa Prison, ministering to the young people. Brother Julius Mutavi taught from our discipleship booklet, Have You Heard of the Destiny Helper?

Remarkably, today also happens to be Julius’ birthday. Instead of spending it in celebration, he chose to spend it serving the Lord and bringing hope to those behind bars. What a testimony of commitment to Christ’s call.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Prison Administration for granting us the opportunity to minister to these young people. Without their cooperation, this important outreach would not be possible.

We thank God for this open door and for the opportunity to plant seeds of the Gospel in places where hope is often dim. Truly, the Word of God is not chained.

AID PROGRAMS AT KELVIN CHABOGO FOUNDATION

Highlight: Aid Through Discipleship

At the Kelvin Chabogo Foundation, we are privileged to run six unique aid programs, each designed to bring hope and healing. Among them, one program continues to deeply move us, that is, Aid Through Discipleship (ATD)

This is not just a program; it is a journey of transformation, we begin by identifying widows who are facing real hardship and conducting a careful need assessment. Once a widow qualifies, she is invited into a six-month discipleship journey where physical aid meets spiritual nourishment.

Every week, our staff visit her home, there she gathers with a few friends and neighbours to receive Bible-based teaching, encouragement, and prayer. Alongside this, we provide her with monthly shopping support worth KES 5,000, ensuring dignity and choice in how her needs are met. Our team walks with her physically to the market, emotionally in her struggles, and spiritually in her growth.

Beyond food and fellowship, we also equip her with basic budgeting skills and income-generating ideas so she can rebuild her life with hope and confidence.

Today, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our staff who went out to visit these widows, sat with them, prayed with them, and demonstrated the love of Christ in word and deed. Indeed, your labour is not in vain.

If God stirs your heart to support this program and be part of changing lives one household at a time, you can send your contribution through the following details: household.
