🤫 MEL’S SECRET MARKETING PROJECT

What started with…

“Oh no… not another pizza restaurant.”

Turned into something much bigger.

One of my favourite parts of what I do is discovering the story behind a business before the public sees it.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to help shape the brand story of Fire Box Pizza Langley from the ground up. Not just a logo. Not just a menu. A complete experience.

What makes this project exciting is that it’s more than pizza.

It’s about community.
It’s about culture.
It’s about bringing people together around great food and memorable experiences.

IEvery local business has a story.

Behind every storefront, service, product, or social media page is someone who took a risk, invested their savings, sacrificed their time, and chose to believe in a dream.

One of my biggest takeaways from Jess Parker’s From Invisible to Influential workshop was this:

You don’t become influential by trying to be everywhere—you become influential by consistently showing up as yourself.

Your story, your experiences, your voice, and your willingness to help others are often the very things that make you memorable.

💜 Share your story.
💜 Build genuine connections.

That’s where influence begins.

This weekend, I had the privilege of attending "From Invisible to Influential” Workshop and spending time with incredible women who are building businesses, communities, and impact.

One of those inspiring women was .hindle whose passion for people and purposeful leadership made our conversation one of the highlights of the day.

My Takeaway:

Influence isn’t about being everywhere.

It’s about showing up consistently, authentically, and with a genuine desire to serve others.

The strongest personal brands are built when people understand:

* Who you are
* What you stand for
* How you help others

Why It Matters

As the founder of GoStory Media, this reinforced something I believe deeply:

Visibility without purpose is noise. Influence with purpose creates impact.

Whether I’m helping a local entrepreneur, building a marketing strategy, supporting Canadian businesses, or mentoring someone who’s starting over, the goal isn’t simply to be seen—it’s to make a meaningful difference.
