Someone told me, “Ah yahaya man nimo, sige ra man ka laag-laag ug lakwatsa diha sa Canada.”

Me: “Why not?”

I spent my 20s working hard to earn my 2 professions and licenses — both passed in one take — while being a working mom in the Philippines.

I spent my 30s working even harder to achieve my Canadian dream. I earned my 3rd profession and license and was able to bring my family to a first-world country, all while continuing life as a working mom.

Not to mention, I also tried my best to earn my 4th license here in Canada. Unfortunately, God did not allow it yet, and that’s okay. At least I tried and gave it my all.

Now I’m turning 40 this year, and I want to enjoy life too. I have the right to get tired, to rest, to travel, and to breathe.

Sakto na siguro nang 3 ka professions and licenses. Proud na siguro akong mama sa heaven, the same mama who always told me:
“Asa ra man nang laag kung mahuman na ug skwela.”

So yes… deserve pud siguro nako maglaag noh?
Panahon na siguro nga akong 40s, akong i-enjoy. 🤍
