How to travel for free in 2025
SAVE THIS FOR LATER

I’ve stayed in luxury hotels, flown across the world, and explored some of the most remote places on Earth without paying a dime out of pocket

Here’s how I made it happen

1. I built a portfolio before I ever got paid
I created travel content on my own time, focused on storytelling, and treated every trip like a client project even if no one was paying me yet

2. I pitched with purpose
I didn’t wait for brands or hotels to find me. I reached out with custom pitch decks, explained the value I bring, and offered content they could use for their own marketing

3. I offered more than just a post
Most creators only offer exposure. I offered reels, photo galleries, usage rights, and UGC that brands could repurpose and that’s what made them say yes

You don’t need a huge following to travel for free
You need strategy, consistency, and a bit of boldness

How to travel when you work full time
SAVE THIS FOR LATER

When I was still working full time as an electrician, I used to travel every other weekend. No unlimited PTO. No remote job. Just a camera, a backpack, and a mission to build my dream life outside of work hours

Here’s how I made it happen

1. Weekend warrior mindset
I planned quick 2 to 3 day trips around my days off. Leave Friday after work. Shoot Saturday and Sunday. Be back before Monday. No excuses. Just movement

2. Maximize holidays and long weekends
I planned shoots and road trips around stat holidays. I used every extra day to create content, explore new places, and build my portfolio

3. Work after work
While my coworkers were watching Netflix, I was learning how to pitch brands, edit content, and post Reels. Nights and weekends built the life I have now

You don’t need to quit your job to start traveling
You just need to use your time differently than most people do

Want to capture next level wildlife shots? Read this
Save this for your next adventure into the wild

Photographing wildlife is one of the most challenging and rewarding types of content to create. It’s not just about having the right lens. It’s about patience, timing, and respecting the moment

Here are a few tips that have helped me get the shot

Use a long lens
I shoot most wildlife with a 70 to 200mm or longer. It gives you distance so you don’t disturb the animal and helps create soft background blur that makes your subject pop

Focus on the eyes
Always. That’s where the emotion is. If the eyes are sharp, the photo connects

Shoot in bursts
Animals move unpredictably. Use continuous shooting mode to capture a series, then pick the best frame later

Blend in and be still
Let them come to you. Some of my favorite shots came from sitting quietly for 30 minutes or more. Nature rewards patience

Tell a story
A wildlife shot isn’t just about the animal. It’s about the environment, the light, the mood. Let your photo feel like a scene, not just a snapshot

Still guessing what to charge as a creator? Read this
Save this before you send your next pitch or rate sheet

If you’re charging 100 dollars for a full-day shoot, multiple revisions, usage rights, and travel, you’re not underpricing. You’re working for free

Here’s how to start charging your worth as a content creator

1. Know your value
You’re not just taking a photo. You’re offering storytelling, editing, creative direction, production, distribution, and trust. Brands aren’t paying for a deliverable. They’re investing in your influence and creativity

2. Break it down
Instead of one flat fee, separate your rate into day rate, editing, travel, usage, and exclusivity. When brands see the breakdown, they understand your value

3. Charge for usage
If a brand wants to run ads or use your content on their website or billboards, that’s licensing. This is where many creators miss out. Charging for usage is how you go from a few hundred to thousands per project

If you’ve ever said you don’t know what to charge, that ends today

📩 Comment BOOK and I’ll send you my free ebook where I share the exact rate structure and pitch scripts I use to land high-paying brand deals

Turning content into cash isn’t luck. It’s strategy
(Save this if you’re ready to stop posting for free and start getting paid for your skills)

Here’s the mindset shift that changed everything for me:

I stopped asking, “How do I get more followers?”
And started asking, “How do I turn my content into something valuable for someone else?”

That’s when everything changed.

✅ I built a portfolio that speaks to brands
✅ I pitched with a plan, not a hope
✅ I started treating content creation like a business, not a hobby

Here’s the truth no one tells you
You don’t need to be famous
You need to solve a problem, show your value, and ask for the deal

There’s nothing like creating in the mountains 🏔️
(Save this if you’ve ever wanted to shoot epic content in wild places)

Some of my best content has come from freezing mornings, foggy trails, and climbs that made me question my life choices but the views? Unreal. The content? Always worth it.

If you’re heading into the mountains to shoot, here are a few tips:

1.Pack light, pack smart
Take only what you need I usually roll with one camera body, two lenses max, extra batteries, and a microfiber cloth. Every ounce matters.

2.Don’t just shoot the view
Tell the full story. Capture the little moments boots on gravel, mist rolling in, the way the light hits your jacket. That’s what draws people in.

3.Use layers for depth
Frame your shot with trees, rocks, or your subject to add scale and dimension. Mountains are massive make sure your content feels that way too.

4.Work with the weather
Don’t wait for perfect conditions. Fog, clouds, golden hour light that’s the stuff cinematic dreams are made of.
