As a founding member of Meowmix, an iconic all-female DJ crew based in Nelson, BC, spanning over two decades, Sara Spicer has played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape and empower women to shine in today’s industry. Additionally, she collaborates with her brother Birdriot under the moniker Nür Tür, producing deep bass music and obscurities.

This year, we present a diverse, multi-genre lineup curated for seamless flow, honouring both the legends who built this culture and the visionaries shaping its future 🌈

Doors open Thursday at noon with a beach party, leading into the night with debut performances by SNOW RAVEN - SUOR and Gavin Hardkiss ☀️

Friday kicks off with an all-vinyl hip-hop “Stars on 45” showcase featuring DJ Koco aka Shimokita and DJ Nu-Mark. As night falls, a live sax trio, Moon H***h, transitions us into house and techno with debut sets from top artists representing Detroit, Chicago, and LA.

Saturday’s highlight is the crown jewel of the weekend: Glass Beams. Expect some of the best live and hybrid acts in today’s industry 🔥

Sunday’s Bass on the Beach explores UKG, breaks, beats, garage, and left-field rhythms, closing the weekend with a proper heavy-mellow wind-down.

Finally, I’m getting some rest after last weekend’s three-day run of SOLD OUT Dirtwire shows that I had the pleasure of curating in Vancouver and Nelson, BC. I feel grateful that my flight landed despite dodgy weather conditions on Saturday so that I could warm up the floor for the Saturday night show.
