I haven't posted on here in a long time, because I've been focused on my screenwriting. I recently became a finalist in the "South Carolina Underground Film Festival's" screenwriting competition for my dark comedy feature screenplay "The Bathtub"

The synopsis for the script is: "A life of luxury, excess, and pride, acquired through ill means, results in real estate mogul, Giorgio Wright, finding himself injured and trapped in his own bathtub. In a dangerously vulnerable state, and with his reputation on the line, Giorgio must escape, unexposed."

This is kind of fascinating.

In one of the most fascinating environmental discoveries of the year, scientists have found that certain fig trees in Kenya can literally turn carbon dioxide into stone. Unlike most plants that simply store carbon in their wood and leaves, these remarkable trees take the process a step further... transforming CO₂ into tiny crystals of calcium carbonate, the same mineral found in limestone and chalk. This means that instead of releasing carbon back into the atmosphere when the tree dies or decays, it remains locked away for centuries in a rock-like form. Researchers from Kenya, Switzerland, Austria, and the U.S. presented this breakthrough at a major science conference in Prague, showing that fig species like Ficus wakefieldii are especially good at this process. Using advanced imaging at Stanford University’s synchrotron lab, they confirmed how deep within the trunk and surrounding soil these mineral “carbon stones” were forming... a hidden treasure of climate protection growing silently in nature.

This process, called the oxalate-carbonate pathway, has been known in some plants before but never deeply studied in fruit trees... making this a groundbreaking discovery. The scientists leading the research, from the University of Zurich and Nairobi Technical University, believe this could change the way we think about tree planting and farming. Imagine a world where fruit trees not only provide food but also capture and trap carbon in stone form... making farms powerful carbon sinks. This discovery could help shape future reforestation and agricultural projects, especially in tropical regions where fig trees thrive. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most powerful climate solutions are already growing right in front of us... we just need to understand how to use them.

I originally meant for this pitch to be for producer's eyes only, but the story means so much to me personally. This screenplay was agonizing to write, but I'm compelled to put it out there publicly.

A screenplay highlighting how our aspirations to create an ideal world, can lead us to unfairly condemn the people who might benefit us most.

When a curious little boy becomes stuck in a rabbit hole, the tunnel's architect is forced to devise a plan for his removal, and fast.

With all the people out there being offended by simple jokes, I really can't resist. I haven't shared this in a while. Heed to the warning below, if you have a weak stomach.

“Never Di**le the Dead” is a short story involving short vignettes. It has been written in the twisted comedic style that is typical of “Angry Bear Film Productions”. Warning: Story involves graphic violence, sexual themes, gore, and a vomit inducing lack of good taste. Reader discretion is strongly advised. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

When a cure for mortality makes an epic fail, those who "love" the dead most, find their "love" reciprocated. Some things are better left untouched.

I finally finished writing the first draft of my horror feature screenplay, "Don't Invade My Mini Metropolis". It definitely goes a lot further than the short version I wrote a year earlier.

All I have to do now is register it with the WGA, and give it a quick proof read.

Earlier this year, I attempted to write a dramatic feature screenplay titled, "Don't Invade My Mini Metropolis". The original concept was that of a horror film, but I thought I'd try writing it as a straight drama. The screenplay's story resolved itself in 31 pages, so I decided I'd leave it as a short.

I decided to go back to the horror angle, and I'll see how that goes. The short does serve as a guide. Some concepts are really tricky to execute, and this is one of them.

I'm finally feeling motivated to making some small revisions to my two-part high fantasy pilot, "A Noble Legacy".

It's tough motivating myself to work on a script that has almost zero chance of getting made, but it's a story that's been in the back of my mind for two decades.

I've never liked the dance, "The Floss". I need to write a slasher film, where a serial killer hunts down people he saw on tv doing that dance.

I have a title for it, "Sorry for Your Floss".
