Allyza - The Kabayan Advisor On a mission to help fellow Filipinos in Canada to save smarter, grow their money, and finally make sense of their finances.

A lot of people upgrade their lifestyle before upgrading their foundation.

New car. Bigger mortgage. Higher monthly expenses.

But no backup plan if income suddenly stops.

And that’s why so many families feel financially stressed even with “good income.”

Real financial stability isn’t just about what you can afford today. It’s about what your family can survive tomorrow.

Moving to Canada is exciting 🇨🇦
But if we’re being real… figuring out money here can feel overwhelming.

Most of us arrive focused on the same things:

✅ Find work
✅ Make money
✅ Save up
✅ Settle the family

And honestly? Same.

But one thing I realized after moving here is…

Hard work alone isn’t enough if you don’t understand how the system works.

A lot of Filipino families end up learning things the hard way:

💸 Keeping too much cash sitting in regular savings
💸 Not knowing where to best put savings
💸 Relying only on work benefits
💸 Waiting until “later” to prepare for emergencies
💸 Missing opportunities because no one explained things clearly

And I get it.

Because no one really hands us a manual when we get here.

What’s a TFSA? RRSP?
Why do I owe so much taxes?
Do I need insurance?
What if I can’t work because of sickness or disability?
How do I actually build stability here?

That’s a big part of why I started doing what I do.

As a licensed insurance broker, I help fellow Filipino families start right financially in Canada so they can avoid costly mistakes and feel more confident with money decisions.

And no, hindi kailangan alam mo na lahat.

Kasi minsan, all we need is someone na mag-eexplain ng simple at klaro para mas maintindihan natin ng maayos. 🤍

Libre magtanong.
No pressure. No judgement.

📩 Message me anytime if you have questions.

What’s one thing about money in Canada that confused you the most when you arrived? 👇🏼

Investing is important.
Growing your money matters.

But one thing a lot of people misunderstand is this:

Investments are meant to build wealth over time.
Insurance is meant to protect the people depending on you while you build it.

Because life doesn’t always wait for your portfolio to grow.

The strongest financial setups usually aren’t “either/or.”
It’s protection first… then growth on top of it.

👉🏼 DM “FOUNDATION” and I’ll show you the difference between building wealth vs protecting it.

Becoming a mom changed everything for me.

I finally understood my own mom on a completely different level. With her sacrifices and the way she always put us first without making it a big deal.

Today I’m celebrating her. My sister. My lola. My aunties who loved me like I was their own. And also, to every woman who ever stepped in and mothered someone who needed it.

To all my fellow moms building a new life here in Canada… carrying so much, often without anyone seeing it. I just want you to know: we see you. You are so appreciated.

You’re doing better than you think.

Happy Mother’s Day. 🌷

One of the best feelings is seeing your friends support your journey… while also being open to learning and growing with you. 🤍🇨🇦

A lot of us came to Canada with big goals and strong work ethic.
But the reality is, hard work alone isn’t enough if you don’t understand how the system works.

That’s why conversations like these matter.

Not to sell.
Not to impress.
But to help the people around us make smarter decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and build a stronger future here.

Pure intentions. Real conversations.
Because when it comes to your friends & family, you genuinely want what’s best for them. ✨

If you believe financial literacy should be talked about more in the Filipino community, comment 💯.

Ending the day helping insure a dad of two living with Type 1 Diabetes.

Health history doesn’t cancel your responsibility to protect your family.

A diagnosis isn’t an automatic “no.”
It’s about the right approach.

By asking the right questions,
Gathering proper documentation,
Finding the right carrier,
Presenting a strong case.

Protection is still possible.

Sometimes, it just takes someone who knows how to navigate it.

Because every family deserves that chance.

It won’t always feel worth it in the moment.

Some days will test you.
Some days will stretch you.

But don’t quit on a hard day.

You might be closer than you think.

Happy Friday!!! 🙌🏼
