Was supposed to have another weekend of ice racing this weekend with the rt4wd CRX, but just before I was about to leave we got word that the ice at the edges of the lake had degraded so the whole event was cancelled.

Safety first, but still very disappointing! There’s still a bit of footage I haven’t gone through from last weekend so might have a couple posts left to do, but otherwise fun on ice will have to wait until next year. Next up: rallycross!

Had a great time out at ice-x Saturday morning. Unfortunately due to deterioriating ice the organizers had to stop early so we only got 1 session in instead of 4 on the weekend

The good news is the rt4wd CRX is an absolute weapon on the ice, and in the runs I did get I secured first place out of 68 cars!

Can’t wait to get out to more events and get more seat time in this thing! Hopefully there should be some good footage and photos to come as well from our short time on the lake, stay tuned!

What a fantastic weekend out at Thunderbird Rally 2026. The first real competition debut for the rt4wd CRX and it performed flawlessly, covering hundreds of km of sometimes icy, sometimes rough and muddy rally road without a hitch, truly a joy to drive.

We were able to come home with first in historic class as well as overall by 5 seconds over the course of the weekend (out of 34 cars), and led team Hot Wheels to take home the team trophy too! Couldn’t have asked for a better rally weekend, except maybe for a bit more snow and a bit less mud!

Can’t wait to get this car out to another event. Hopefully soon!

New year, new project!

I figured now that I have a couple race cars running, I should start working on something cool to haul them with. So I picked up this 1972 GMC C15! Lots more to come on this one!

Fun with wiring over the holidays! Installing a Painless wiring harness on a new project I haven’t shown off yet…I wonder if anybody can guess by the old fuse block!
