Friend With Righteousness

"He who associates with the wise becomes wise, but he who associates with the foolish perishes."
- Proverbs 13: 20

We Filipinos have a saying: "Say who your friends are, and I will say who you are." This is true, especially in the Word of God. According to Proverbs 13: 20, the people we choose to be with on a daily basis have a great impact. If we are always surrounded by people who have wisdom from God, we will be infected by their vision, discipline, and faith. But if our constant companions are people who have no respect for God's will, we are not far from being corrupt.
The right friend is those who are faithful, kind, God-fearing, and ready to guide you in times of need. They are not perfect, but they insist on living with faithfulness. Such relationships are empowering in times of trial and promote growth in faith.

Let's imagine the life of Solomon. At first, he was known for his wisdom and love for God. But the time came when he was surrounded by people who did not fear God including foreign wives who worshiped idols. Eventually, he was influenced by false friendships and this resulted in him moving away from God's will. This is a reminder to us: no matter how wise or close we were to God then, the wrong companion can weaken our faith.

- Choose friends who teach the truth.
- Find a relationship that grows your faith.
- Avoid influence that pulls you away from God.
- Be a friend who brings light and hope.

Lord, guide me in choosing friends who will help
me grow in You. Keep me away from bad influences and draw me closer to people who fear You. May I also be a medium of Your love and wisdom to others. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

It is not weakness to rest. It's wisdom.
It is not failure to pause. It is faith in the God who restores.

You may still feel heavy when you wake up, but God will feed you again.

He’ll strengthen you again.
And when it’s time, He’ll lift you up again.

Healing takes time.
Strength comes in waves.
And grace is still grace when you're under the tree, not just when you're on the mountaintop.

Start there.
Get stronger.
Then get up when He says it’s time.

Purpose requires discipline.
Obedience requires clarity.
And the enemy can’t steal what you refuse to give him.

Stay focused.
Stay rooted.
Stay walking in power.
