Michael Bublé and Brenda Locke facing off in street hockey was NOT on my 2026 bingo card… but here we are. 😂🏒

It was definitely an unexpected way to announce some pretty big news for Surrey.

A new 10,000-seat arena is coming to downtown Surrey, set to host major sports, concerts, conferences and cultural events — with the Vancouver Giants as the anchor tenant.

The project will also include a luxury hotel, conference space and housing, creating a new sports and entertainment district in downtown Surrey.

For visitors, that means more reasons to come to Surrey for a game, concert or event, stay overnight, grab dinner and make a day of it.

I’m very curious to see who ends up on that concert lineup… 👀

And after watching Bublé play hockey, I have a pretty good guess. 😂

Tim Hortons invited me to a matcha tasting… which, considering my very strong opinions about matcha, was honestly a bold choice.

I got a sneak peek at their new matcha lineup and tried the NEW Strawberry Iced Matcha Latte, launching September 23. 🍓🍵

I’m not a matcha fan, so I’ll admit they were taking a bit of a chance inviting me. BUT I actually really appreciated getting to learn more about how much thought and research goes into creating their matcha. They’ve worked to make it authentic and delicious (for those who like matcha) while also making sure it can be prepared quickly enough for the pace of a Tim Hortons kitchen.

The traditional matcha? Still not my thing. But the Strawberry Iced Matcha Latte surprised me! 🍓 The strawberry really complemented the earthy flavour of the matcha and made it much more enjoyable for someone who isn’t exactly on Team Matcha.

Then, at the end of the tasting, they handed us a Pumpkin Spice Latte… and THAT is much more my jam.

Oh, and the turkey bacon club is coming back, which has always been one of my favourite Tim Hortons sandwiches.

So, as offensive as it may be to say at a MATCHA tasting… the sandwich may have been my favourite part. 🤭

Car features I actually care about as a mom 💖

After spending time with the Mazda CX-5, it was the little things that stood out.

The 360° camera makes parking so much easier, there’s plenty of room for car seats and all the stuff that comes with having kids, the panoramic sunroof makes the cabin feel bright and open, and there are thoughtful details that make everyday driving more comfortable.

I don’t just want a car that looks good, I want one that makes family life a little easier (but the fact that it’s cute helps too 🤭)

Wanted: Canadian parents (moms) with reasonable Internet behaviour.

So… a couple of my videos recently went VERY viral on the wrong side of the Internet. I gained a ton of followers I absolutely did not want, plus a small army of bots, and I’ve spent the last month blocking, deleting and trying to clean up the chaos.

The ironic part? I had been working SO hard to get to 20K, and suddenly watching that number grow wasn’t even fun anymore because I knew so many weren’t actually here for me or my content.

So I’m calling in my people. 🫶🏼

If you’re a Canadian parent who loves finding fun things to do with your kids, travelling, exploring new places, wants honest opinions on what’s actually worth the money (and what isn’t 😂), and wants to genuinely ENJOY your kids’ childhood…

I don’t know what to say other than, whatever was wrong with me, I’m pretty sure Cynthia Erivo fixed it 🤍

Truly, one of the best shows I’ve ever seen; the combination of Cynthia, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra , and the fact that this was my baby’s first concert, made it absolutely magical!

Once in a lifetime kind of show… If you ever get a chance to see Cynthia Erivo in concert, do it… And take me with you.

Thank you PNE / Playland for hosting the Summer Nights concerts! Cheers to more (Cynthia Erivo again would be ideal honestly.
