A new restaurant is coming to Fort Langley, and after getting a sneak peek, I can already see why people are excited.

I recently attended a preview night at , a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant that will soon be opening in the heart of Fort Langley. While the food was incredible (I’m still thinking about the Cacio e Pepe, the pizza, and the gelato), what stayed with me most was the story behind the space.

The owner Simone shared memories of growing up in Italy, where Sunday dinners brought family, friends, and neighbours together around the table while kids ran around and everyone felt at home. That feeling of connection and community is exactly what they hope to create at Sabà Pizzeria.

As a parent, I love finding places that feel welcoming for families while still offering an experience adults genuinely enjoy. Whether you’re planning a family dinner, a date night, or a day exploring Fort Langley, this is one that needs to be added to the summer dining bucket list.

Save this for your next Fort Langley visit and follow for more family-friendly restaurants, local gems, and things to do around Langley and the Fraser Valley.

I must confess: I often leave teacher gifts to the very last minute! Which ends up meaning they get a Starbucks gift card and a high five.

This year’s hybrid homeschool class has been really exceptional for my daughter. I’ve called them the dream team all year because both the teachers in the class are absolutely 10 out of 10! I wanted to be a bit more thoughtful this year, and get the kiddos teachers something they’d really enjoy. I asked the teachers with the theme of their summer was going to be whether they wanted adventure or relaxation, and aside from asking if I could pay off their mortgage, relaxation seemed to be at the top of the list.

I visited Spruce collection in Chilliwack, and it really was the best move. I found a beautiful candles, journals, sweet treats and some incredibly delicious smelling bath salts.

I’m so excited to spoil our wonderful teachers for all the love they poured in to their class this year!

And I’m realizing as I’m writing this that I forgot to get something for her dance teacher… So guess who’s getting a Starbucks gift card? Lol

After a full day of running around at the Whistler Children’s Festival, we were more than ready to recharge—and Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre was exactly what we needed.

One thing I always appreciate when travelling with kids is having enough space to actually relax. Our suite had a separate sitting area, dining space, fireplace, balcony, and even a den for the kiddo. It felt less like squeezing into a hotel room and more like having a home base right in the heart of Whistler Village (I loved how quick and easy it was to get to all our activities from the hotel).

We spent the afternoon enjoying the pool and hot tubs, snacking on a charcuterie board, and slowing down for a change before heading downstairs for breakfast the next morning.

For families visiting Whistler, this location is hard to beat:
✓ Walkable Village location
✓ Outdoor heated pool + 2 hot tubs (one for adults only)
✓ Spacious suites with separate living areas
✓ Pet-friendly rooms available
✓ Full-service spa
✓ Valet parking available (highly recommended!)

The perfect place to recharge between Whistler adventures. We can’t wait for our next visit!

This is your reminder: your inner child deserves a summer too. 🎢✨

So naturally, two grown women headed to Playland to spend the day pretending we were teenagers again.

The good news? We still screamed on every ride, laughed until our stomachs hurt, and had an absolute blast.

The bad news? We discovered that recovering from roller coasters as mothers is a far different experience from what it was when we were teenagers. 😂

If you’re looking for a fun summer day with friends, family, or anyone who’s willing to hold your bag while you brave the rides, Playland is officially open for the season!

🎡 Single Day Passes are on sale now
🌙 Late-night openings return on select Fridays and Saturdays in July & August, with rides running until 9 PM
🎟️ Fun and Thrill Passes are just $30 after 5 PM during late-night dates
✨ Season Passes are available for unlimited visits and exclusive perks

Just remember: tickets are date- and time-specific, so buy online in advance to save and make sure you select the correct date and time for your visit.

South Surrey… you’re going to want to make a reservation for this one. 🔥🥩

I got a first taste of before their Grandview Corners location officially opens on May 28th and every single thing we tried was a hit. The butcher board was absolutely sensational — every steak cooked perfectly. We also tried the prime rib, burger, halibut, prawns, hummus and I can confidently say there wasn’t one thing on the menu I wouldn’t happily crush again. 🤤

And if it was possible to marry a dessert lol… The Sticky Toffee Pudding Sundae.

Reservations open June 1st at chop.ca ✨

Perfect for date nights, celebrations, girls nights, or when you just want a ridiculously good steak in South Surrey.

✨ Camp options include:
• Half-day camps for ages 4–6

BIG WAY HOT POT HALLELUJAH 🙌🍲
hotpot just opened their newest location at and I fear I’ve already become emotionally attached.

If you haven’t tried Big Way before, you build your own hot pot bowl with all your favourite ingredients and they weigh it at the end. Dangerous for people like me who think “just one more prawn” 14 times.

A few pro tips from someone who immediately spilled broth on herself:

✨ Bring a hair clip if you’ve got long hair
✨ Ask for a bib (trust me on this one)
✨ Don’t skip the T Studio drinks while you’re there

You can find the new location by Entry 3 inside the brand new TW Wander section of the mall.

TW Wander is officially open and is meant to have an Asian night market vibe with tons of restaurants, vendors, drinks, desserts, and more all in one space. Their grand opening celebrations are happening May 30 & 31 👀

Definitely worth checking out next time you’re headed to Tsawwassen Mills 🍜

We spent the weekend exploring the Whistler Children’s Festival and honestly loved how the entire village felt part of the experience. From roaming performers and interactive shows to scavenger hunts, storytelling, science experiments, local markets, and family-friendly activities around every corner, there was always something happening.

Some of our highlights included:

🎪 The Nylon Zoo
🛍️ Bratz Biz Young Entrepreneur Market
🍦 Ice cream at Cows
📚 The Whistler Library book sale
😂 Laugh Out LIVE! Jr: The Joke Jamboree
🧪 Orbax and Pepper Do Science
🍽️ Dinner at 21 Steps

One of my favourite things about Whistler as a family destination is how walkable, welcoming, and activity-filled it is for both kids AND parents. It made for such an easy weekend getaway from the city.

If you’re looking for a family-friendly event to add to your BC bucket list for 2027, keep the Whistler Children’s Festival on your radar 💛
