We're Jeff & Mel. 🇨🇦

For years, we did what most people do:

✔️ Went to University;

But despite doing everything we were "supposed" to do, we still felt like we weren't getting ahead.

❌No Monday morning blues over here.

✨Today, after school drop offs, we decided to go for a walk and enjoy the sunshine ☀️

❌There was no rushing, no meetings, no asking for time off, no counting down until Friday.

🙌This is the real flex of building an online business.

A coffee date at a new coffee shop we found while waiting for the birthday party our daughter was at to finish up.

Our view was of a quaint little street and in that moment, I was overcome with gratitude. 🙌

Not that long ago, dates like this rarely happened.

Our life was dictated by a spreadsheet where every purchase had to be well thought out. Living pay cheque to pay cheque took the joy out of spontaneously being able to enjoy a latte and be in the moment.

We were busy building someone else's schedule, living around work calendars, and squeezing life into whatever time was left over.

Now we're much more intentional about how we spend our time.

Because the older we get, the more we realize that time is the one thing we can never get back.

That's why we're so grateful we chose to do something different.

Not because we wanted more stuff.

Today, I was talking to another dad about mortgages, bills, groceries, activities for the kids… and just how tight life has become for so many families.

On the weekend, we celebrated 18 years of marriage. ❤️

It was so much fun reminiscing about the last 18 years but what was even better was dreaming BIG about the next 18 years. 🌟

This was HUGE for us. 🤩

If you could have heard our conversations on previous anniversaries, it was centred around feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about the future. Instead of enjoying ourselves, we were brainstorming business ideas or products or scrolling ways to earn from home. It was exhausting. 😮‍💨

Now we talk about our future with excitement, passion, ease, and possibility. 🙌

All because we made ONE decision.

Was it scary? 🫣
👉🏻Oh yeah…especially because we had been burned three times before doing traditional NWM businesses.

Did we doubt ourselves? 😕
👉🏻Absolutely.

We told ourselves all the usual things:

❌ “It’ll be too hard.”

❌ “What if we fail?”

But was scarier was celebrating another anniversary weighed down with fear about the future.

So…we took a look 👀 and have never looked back since.

With consistency, mentorship, hard work, and staying coachable, we completely changed the direction of our life.

Now we have:

✨ more peace of mind
✨ more time together as a family

And the most rewarding part?
