I love a good Facebook Marketplace find, but these planters definitely made me work for them. 🤍

I’ve been searching for the perfect French-inspired concrete planters for what feels like forever, and somehow managed to find two for a great price, but they came with some heavy lifting, literally😅

Pickup #1: I confidently arrived thinking I could load a concrete planter by myself. I could not.

Pickup #2: A storage unit. Need I say more? 😳 I was getting all kinds of weird Marketplace vibes and questioning my life choices on the drive there.

Somehow, everything worked out, both planters made it home, and I managed to pick up both on the same day.

Countryside pool inspiration I keep coming back to 🌿

The common thread is always the same: mature trees, layered greenery, and a space that feels like it’s grown into itself over time.

We’ll need an iron fence for safety, but the goal is to completely blur it into the landscape with a dense green layer. Tall cedars paired with hydrangeas tucked inside the perimeter so it reads more like a garden wall than a boundary.

For the hardscape, we chose Blu Random Grande pavers and I finally decided on a colour, Greyed Nickel. I love how the tone sits—cool, slightly softened grey that brings contrast without feeling harsh, especially against the deep dark blue of the pool.

And I’ve been really drawn to the pool barn building too.
How it anchors the space, adds that quiet architectural moment with warm wood hues that tie everything together.

It’s all starting to feel like the right mix of balance and softness. Clean lines, natural movement, and a palette that lets the greenery and water do most of the talking.

5 years into having our veggie garden, and every year I feel like l learn a little more 🌱

I’ve figured out what vegetables we truly love, what actually gets eaten in our home, and what works best in our garden layout too.

These vegetables are our top favs:

• cherry tomatoes
• heirloom carrots
• snow peas
• green beans
• yellow beans
• romaine lettuce
• kale
• basil
• cilantro
• chives
• green zucchini
• golden zucchini
• beets
• turnips

There’s something so fulfilling about stepping outside and picking ingredients straight from the garden for dinner!

Homemade Honey Nut Granola 🫐🍯🥛🤎

The kind of recipe that makes your house smell unreal + keeps breakfast easy all week.

INGREDIENTS
･ 4 cups rolled oats
･ 1 ½ cups nuts/seeds (pecans, walnuts, pumpkin seeds)
･ 1 tsp sea salt
･ ½ tsp cinnamon
･ ½ cup melted coconut oil (or olive oil)
･ ½ cup honey (or maple syrup)
･ 1 tsp vanilla

optional add-ins:
･ coconut flakes
･ h**p hearts
･ dried fruit
･ extra nuts
･ chocolate chips (add after baking)

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix oats, nuts/seeds, salt + cinnamon in a bowl.
2. Stir in oil, honey + vanilla until coated.
3. Spread on a parchment-lined baking sheet + bake at 350° for 21–25 mins, stirring halfway. (Press flat for chunkier granola.)
4. Let cool completely so it crisps up. Add your additional mix-ins + store in an airtight container. You can freeze up to 3 months as well.

This granola is perfect on yogurt bowls, smoothie bowls, alone with a bowl of milk… or honestly by the handful!
