On July 4, 2025, flash flooding along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, Texas, claimed the lives of at least 135 people across several communities and left a devastating impact on families and the entire state.

I recently visited the memorial in Kerrville, Texas, and was heartbroken by what I saw. From that moment came Hill Country Strong — a song of remembrance, sorrow, and love.

Dedicated to the men, women, and children who lost their lives that night, and to the families they left behind.
