This season, you'll see a few signs around areas that the Lake Huron Fishing Club supports with stocking programs, boat launches, and conservation efforts. Please consider donating or helping out at the hatchery if you can! I hope everyone has a safe and fun season on the river. Sometimes the best part of a long day on the water is when I get to shore and I just sit and soak in the sounds of nature around me. In the busyness of life, I've been trying to teach myself to pause and soak in moments like these. It's so easy to forget that most of the best things in life are free, and they're all around us.

Thank you to everyone who put so much time into organizing and volunteering for this year's Chantry Chinook Classic! Special thanks to Great_Ape_Empire as well for hosting one of the weigh scales and for being so supportive of the local fishing community.

This is one of my favourite weeks of the year. It's always a great time hanging out with friends, chatting at the weigh scales, and getting out on the water, all while helping support our amazing local hatcheries! This year was pretty tricky fishing for me! The fish definitely had a gameplan 😂. I lost a few beautiful fish, but I am grateful to have gotten a couple of kings and rainbows into the kayak! Congrats to everyone who placed on the leaderboard this year. There were some absolutely incredible fish caught! And thank you to all of the prize donors as well. The Ontario fishing community is truly incredible. 👏 See you all at the Salmon Spectacular in a few weeks!

I spent the morning on the water with my good friends Ty and Tia from TNT Fishing Lures aboard the beautiful Island'r Girl. We chased fish for the Chantry Chinook Classic and got to test out some brand new unreleased spoons. Even though the bite was tough, we managed to land a beautiful rainbow, and lost another great fish!
