🍓 Saturday's Harvest Turned Sweet 🫐
I be jammin 😂
What started with a couple baskets of freshly picked raspberries this morning ended with a kitchen full of homemade jam tonight.
The first batch was made from today's raspberry harvest, picked fresh from the garden. The second batch was blackberry jam made from berries tucked away in the deep freeze from last summer's harvest.
There's something special about preserving a little taste of summer for later. From berry picking with Bo this morning to hearing those canning lids *ping* this evening, it's been a pretty perfect Saturday.
The reward? Nine jars of raspberry jam, a batch of blackberry jam, and a house that smells like summer.
Do you make jam, freeze your berries, or eat them faster than you can pick them? 😄
