Marketplace Meltdown 😅

Well…apparently Facebook Marketplace has decided that this Sunday, August 30th, it’s time to clean house. 🧹

They’re deleting inactive listings that are 2 years old or older.

And here's the kicker… I only noticed this notification LAST WEEK. 😳😂

So naturally, I looked at my Marketplace dashboard and saw…

952 active listings.

NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-TWO. 🤦‍♀️😂

Now I'm sitting here wondering how many years of listings, photos, descriptions and memories I need to sort through before Facebook starts hitting that delete button.

I mean…who thought it was a good idea to give a vintage seller a deadline to organize?! 😂

So if you see me disappearing into a Marketplace rabbit hole for the next few days… send coffee. ☕️🤣

Anybody else just discovering this and having a tiny panic attack with me? 😅🙋‍♀️

🐾 A little late for National Dog Day…but these two deserve to be celebrated every day. ❤️

My boys, Bo & Luke. Truly the best of friends, and two very different little souls who somehow make the perfect pair. 🐾

Luke has felt the loss of his Puppa Jason too. 😔 I can see it in him sometimes. But that crazy, high-energy boy keeps me moving, keeps me laughing, and somehow keeps me going on the days when getting through the day feels hard.

And then there’s Bo…my softer soul. ❤️ His gentle nature, his quiet presence, and those never-ending cuddles have been such a comfort to me.

They don’t know how much they’ve helped carry me through this past year. They just know they’re beside me and sometimes, that’s everything.

My boys. My little pieces of happiness. My comfort, my chaos, and my constant companions. 🐶❤️

I’m pretty sure Jason would be smiling seeing the two of them keeping me on my toes. And I know he’d be giving them both a big “Love ya, boys.” 🥹❤️

🐝 Slowly finding my way back… 🐝

It’s been a very long time since I’ve really put much into Mandy 🐝.

The truth is, life has taken me down a road I never expected, and for a while, this little corner of the internet and the things that usually bring me so much joy.. had to take a back seat.

I haven’t been thrifting much. I haven’t been filling the booth, hunting for treasures, or creating posts like I used to. And that’s okay.

Right now, I’m just taking things one day at a time and slowly finding my way back to the things that make me..me. ❤️‍🩹

Six years ago, I shared a quote about taking the road even when you don’t know where it will lead. Looking back now, those words mean more than I ever could have imagined.

No big promises. No pressure. Just Mandy 🐝, slowly buzzing her way back. 🐝

Thank you to everyone who has stuck around, checked in, supported my little business, and waited patiently while life happened.

I’m still here. And I’m looking forward to seeing where this road takes me next. ❤️

And maybe this is another little beginning. A few days ago, I wandered into a vintage barn sale shop I hadn't visited in years. I didn't go with a plan. I just wandered, looked, remembered why I love this so much… and took a few pictures ❤️‍🩹

Life has a way of shifting your priorities.

I know I haven't been keeping up with this page the way I usually do. Truthfully... I haven't been keeping up with much of anything lately. The weeds are nearly two feet tall, the laundry has taken on a life of its own, and tumbleweeds of dog fur are happily rolling across my floors. Even my sales have slowed because I just haven't had the time or energy to give my little business the attention it deserves.

But I'm okay.

Right now, my biggest priority is simply being with my guy while 'we have now'. ❤️

The rest can wait. The weeds will still be there. The laundry will eventually get folded. The fur will get vacuumed. My booth and this page will be here when I can give them more of myself again.

Thank you to everyone who's continued to follow along, support my little corner of the internet, and check in on me. Your kindness means more than you know.

For now, I'm choosing moments over messes, and time over to-do lists. And I wouldn't change that for anything. ❤️

A little sunshine from our garden for his room today 🌻

Fresh-cut sunflowers, coneflowers, lavender, and blooms we've watched grow together. Sometimes flowers can't fix what's broken, but they can brighten a room, bring back happy memories, and remind someone they're deeply loved.

We'll keep making the most of every moment, one day at a time. ❤️‍🩹

The smoky skies are a reminder that poor air quality doesn't just affect what we see...it affects how we breathe. ❤️‍🩹

If you have to head outside, consider wearing a well-fitted N95 mask, especially if you have asthma, COPD, heart or lung conditions, are pregnant, are an older adult, or are caring for young children.

If you're staying indoors, keep your windows and doors closed, and if you're using air conditioning, set it to recirculate the indoor air rather than bringing in air from outside. This can help reduce the amount of smoke entering your home or vehicle.

Let's all look out for one another. Check in on family, friends, neighbours, and anyone who may be more vulnerable during these smoky days.

Stay safe, breathe easy when you can, and take care of yourselves, my friends. ❤️

🌻 "Keep your face to the sunshine, and you cannot see the shadows." Helen Keller

Every year I plant Autumn Beauty sunflowers, but these gorgeous blooms decided to surprise me by growing from last year's seeds. 🌱💛 There's something magical about seeing nature carry on all by itself, reminding us that beautiful things often return when we least expect them.

With their stunning shades of gold, bronze, burgundy, and orange, they brighten my garden and my heart every single day.

🫐 Blackberries are starting to ripen... come pick with me! 🌿

One of my favorite parts of summer is wandering the yard with a bowl in hand, finding those perfectly ripe berries tucked between the leaves. A few make it into the bowl...and a few mysteriously disappear before I get back to the kitchen. 🤭

Fresh berries today...a few at a time, I pop them in the freezer until they're all ready for jam ❤️
