🍓 Saturday's Harvest Turned Sweet 🫐

I be jammin 😂

What started with a couple baskets of freshly picked raspberries this morning ended with a kitchen full of homemade jam tonight.

The first batch was made from today's raspberry harvest, picked fresh from the garden. The second batch was blackberry jam made from berries tucked away in the deep freeze from last summer's harvest.

There's something special about preserving a little taste of summer for later. From berry picking with Bo this morning to hearing those canning lids *ping* this evening, it's been a pretty perfect Saturday.

The reward? Nine jars of raspberry jam, a batch of blackberry jam, and a house that smells like summer.

Do you make jam, freeze your berries, or eat them faster than you can pick them? 😄



🍓🫐 And now the real question... toast, biscuits, ice cream, or straight from the spoon? 😋

🌞What a glorious Saturday in the garden!

The first sunflower of the season has officially bloomed, and I'm extra excited because this beauty sprouted from seeds that dropped from last year's sunflowers. There's something special about seeing the garden surprise you with a little "welcome back" from last summer. 🌻

The raspberry patch is also in full production mode, so I recruited some help for harvest day. Bo was more than happy to assist... especially with the berries growing on the outside of the fence. 😆 Let's just say a few raspberries mysteriously disappeared before they made it to the basket. Quality control is an important job, after all!

Between the overflowing raspberry patch, the first sunflower bloom, and a basket full of fresh-picked berries, it's one of those days that reminds me why I love spending time in the garden.

✨ A Sale Meant To Be! ✨

One of my favorite parts of this business is hearing the stories behind the treasures.

Last week I listed this beautiful signed silkscreen print, "Tableau de la Place d'Armes, Québec" by Quebec artist Arthur Aron. Not long after posting it, I received a message from someone who was traveling in Québec City.

Here's where it gets interesting...

At the exact time they saw my listing, they were standing in ✨️Place d'Armes✨️ looking at the very scene captured in this artwork! Even more incredible, they had visited the artist's booth, located down the alleyway shown in the print.

They immediately recognized the location, reached out, and asked if I could hold the piece until they returned home.

Yesterday, the sale was completed. ❤️

I love knowing this artwork found its way to someone who already had a personal connection to the place it depicts. Sometimes vintage and art collecting isn't just about decorating a wall...it's about preserving memories of special moments and places we've visited.

Quick Pop-In at the Market!

The market was full of temptations today! 👀

I stopped in today for a quick browse to see what was new... and let's just say it was impossible not to stop and admire all the treasures! 😍

From beautiful uranium glass and cobalt blue collections to vintage cats, piggy banks, brass décor, antique lamps, and enough pretty dishware to fill a farmhouse kitchen, there was something around every corner.

One of my favorite parts of antiquing is that you never know what you'll discover next. Every booth has its own personality and every piece has a story waiting to be told. That's part of the thrill of the hunt! ✨

Auction Pickup + Yard Sale Bonus!

You know it's been a good day when the truck bed is packed and you're already planning where everything will go! 😄

Today's auction pickup brought home quite the mix of treasures—from vintage sports figures and decor pieces to rustic artwork, milk glass, copper, and even a few mystery items that need a closer look. The yard sale bonus added a fantastic wrought iron plant stand and a fan (because treasure hunting is hot work! 🥵)

Now comes the fun part...cleaning, researching, pricing, and deciding what heads to the booth first! 👀

I think that copper umbrella stand is stealing the show today, but the box of vintage hockey players and action figures are giving it some competition.

✨ Fab Find Friday ✨

Headed to my booth OSA Auctions & Vendor Market just in time for Father's Day is this fun piece of vintage Vegas history!

This 1988 Las Vegas souvenir glass storage jar still has its original dice tucked inside and features logos from many of the legendary casinos that helped make Vegas famous. A real blast from the past, with names like the Flamingo, Imperial Palace, Stardust, Desert Inn, Riviera, Frontier, Sahara, Bally's, Maxim, and more decorating the glass. 🎲♠️

Looking at all these old casino logos got me wondering...how many are still around today? Quite a few have disappeared over the years, making this little jar a snapshot of a Vegas that no longer exists. The Flamingo is still standing, while many others have become part of Las Vegas history.

I actually stayed at both the Flamingo and the Imperial Palace years ago, so this one brought back some memories! 😊

Would you keep this as a collectible, use it in a man cave, fill it with poker chips, or stash your spare change inside?

Look at this beauty ✨

This is an antique Northwood "Thin Rib" pattern swung carnival glass vase, glowing with those gorgeous iridescent shades of gold, amber, pink, and green. The elegant stretched form and ruffled rim make it a real showstopper, whether displayed on its own or filled with flowers.

The funny thing? I absolutely love fresh flowers in the house...but my cats have other plans. 😹 Between nibbling on the blooms and treating every vase like a personal bowling pin, pretty vases and fresh florals don't stand much of a chance around here!

So instead of risking another feline decorating disaster, this stunning piece is headed to my booth where hopefully it can find a home with someone who can actually enjoy it as intended. 🌸

Today's taste test featured fresh-picked lettuce, and Bo was more than happy to volunteer as quality control. 😂🥬

Nothing beats snacks straight from the garden.
