I thought losing my vision meant I was going to lose the thing I loved most.

It took me a little while to get here. I had to grieve what I thought I had lost before I could see what was still possible.

But honestly? Now I’m thriving.

I’m riding more than I ever have in my life, doing what I love.

I’m so happy to say that I finally feel like myself again. All thanks to some wonderful people and horses 🤍

I was lost for a little bit there ❤️‍🩹

Apparently being blind came with a list of things I “probably shouldn’t” do… riding horses just wasn’t one I was willing to cross off.

Blind ≠ incapable. I’m still gonna be a horse girl.

A big thank you to Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada (VLRC) and CNIB for keeping me in the saddle. Orientation and mobility changed my life.
