🔔 WHAT IS THE UPDATE?
Canada has confirmed plans to introduce new Permanent Residence pathways focused on Temporary Residents already living and working in Canada.
These pathways are commonly referred to as TR to PR (Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident) programs.

• Temporary Foreign Workers
• Essential Workers
• International Graduates
• Workers contributing to the Canadian labour market
📊 Planned intake:
Up to 33,000 Temporary Residents are expected to transition to Permanent Residence during 2026–2027.

🛂 WORK PERMIT SUPPORT

IRCC has extended open work permit validity until December 31, 2026 for eligible TR to PR applicants, allowing them to continue working while PR applications are processed.
