“Would you feel comfortable sitting in the stands watching your kid be the worst player on the ice every night?”

That’s the question former NHL player Dale Weise asks parents who push their kids into hockey when they clearly don’t want to be on the ice.

Dale says spring hockey has gotten out of control and that the dream should belong to the kid, not the parent.

He didn’t play on all-star teams growing up. He just loved hockey and followed his own dream, which led to 513 NHL games with the New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, Canadiens de Montréal, Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers.

A 12-year-old Winnipeg kid's dream to swim with dolphins came true
Decades later, he repaid it to The Dream Factory

Back in the '80s, Kyle was just 12 years old battling cancer when the Rainbow Society sent him and his family down to the Florida Keys to swim with dolphins to make his childhood wish come true.

Fast forward to adulthood and The Rainbow Society called Kyle's marketing agency, Cocoon Branding, looking for a rebrand.

Kyle did the rebrand for FREE and that's how the Dream Factory got the name you know now.

Kyle Romaniuk is a Winnipeg-based entrepreneur, author, and business coach who's spent 25+ years working with brands like Red Bull and GoodLife Fitness.
