Parenting is a mirror.
If we want children who communicate clearly, apologize sincerely, and take responsibility confidently, we must model it first.
Our children don’t learn character from lectures.
They learn it from watching how we handle stress, how we admit mistakes, how we speak when we’re frustrated, and how we repair after conflict.
I’ve realized that the hardest part of parenting isn’t correcting a child — it’s correcting myself. Saying “I’m sorry.” Choosing patience. Owning my tone. That’s where real leadership begins.

Today Jared helped wash the baby dolls and joined his friends in singing the “wash the body parts” song — and my heart smiled.

What looked like simple play was actually powerful learning in action:
🧼 Building hygiene habits

🤝 Practicing teamwork and empathy
🧠 Strengthening memory and coordination

After talking about the different parts of the body, Jared carefully placed each clothing item where it belongs.
With a little guidance, he was able to identify which clothes go on which part of the body—and he was so proud of himself!

Jared lined up the traffic cones in the gym today 😊
What started as simple play quickly turned into a moment of learning.

With his friends, he counted each cone, discussed where to place them, and together they built an obstacle course. In one activity, they practiced counting, teamwork, problem-solving, and physical coordination—all while having fun.

As parents, moments like this remind us that learning doesn’t always look like a classroom. When children play, explore, and create together, they’re building confidence, social skills, and critical thinking.

Today, Jared added googly eyes to his gingerbread man cutout and decorated it with buttons and sequins. It may seem simple, but watching his creativity and happiness reminded me how beautiful the small moments in life really are.

Sometimes we’re so focused on the big things that we forget God often speaks through the little ones — laughter, imagination, and a child’s pure joy. These are gentle reminders that joy is always within reach.
