We’re thrilled to announce that we had the pleasure of being part of ‘Caroling in Crossroad Springs’- A Christmas Variety Special from the creators of Crossroad Springs .

‘Caroling in Crossroad Springs’ is a new original Christmas music special from the series Crossroad Springs featuring stars Jonathan Stoddard and Jillian Cardarelli, blending original music, classic carols, and behind-the-scenes stories to celebrate the holiday season!

It first aired on Great American Pure Flix December 7th and then on the Great American Family Network on Dec 10th. It will be re-airing on Super Channel (available on Prime) in Canada and ‘Heart and Home’:

Our thoughts are with our friend Elyse Aeryn.

Hi friends,

On Monday night (Sept. 1, 2025), Elyse was involved in a serious collision while driving her motorcycle near her home in Glace Bay. She had recently returned (on Sunday) from the Wharf Rat Rally in Digby—a dream trip she’d long envisioned. As she posted on Instagram: “Life is a damn journey. It’s all about the ride.”

With all praise and thanks due to EHS LifeFlight, Elyse was swiftly transported to the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax where the efforts of brilliant paramedics, nurses, and doctors working all through Monday night stabilized her. She has now begun her long, challenging recovery. Her partner Garrett Taylor—who had been riding ahead and was not impacted—has remained at her side every moment since, coordinating with family and her music team from her bedside.

Down but never out, Elyse Aeryn is a fighter.

Over the coming days, weeks, and months there will be many decisions to be made, however what’s immediately clear is the urgent need for financial stability so Elyse and Garrett can focus 100% on healing—

What kind of support is needed:

- Rent & essentials while Elyse and Garrett are away from their day jobs
- Medical and recovery costs not otherwise covered (mobility aids, medications, follow-ups, travel)
- Accommodations and expenses in Halifax during treatment
- Rehabilitation & therapy to get Elyse back to her full, formidable self

As it’s his birthday today, Sound of Pop wanted to acknowledge the passing of one of our beloved songwriters. Chris Ryan passed away suddenly back in October 2024…… it was a shock and hit us extremely hard.

Chris was one of a new crop of songwriters at Sound of Pop and we had tons of fun writing songs with CR and watching them rise up the charts on Canadian Country radio and seeing them appear in many films and TV shows.

Chris was an amazing talent, always lit up the room and we miss him everyday ……
