I’m so excited to finally announce the Self-Esteem & Dopamine EP release show featuring my very special guests Burry and Katie Wayne!!!! 😍🩷🪩🫧

This has been a very special project for me and a long time coming. Some of these songs were written and rewritten over 10 years, we started recording them 6 years ago, and last year was the first time I was finally able to share them with all of you as emstuu. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I wouldn’t change that timeline by a second. ☠️Transformation Tuesday☠️

Left: Age 23

Two weeks before I landed in the hospital after multiple seizures when I had encephalitis (brain virus.)

My mental and physical health was awful. I was drinking daily, eating like crap and didn't care if I was going to make it another day. (I don't even like seeing that picture.)

Right: Age 33

Two years sober and taking care of my mental and physical health. It's hard to look at the younger Andre and know the tough spot I was in at the time spiraling out of control and knowing that I almost didn't make it to my next birthday. I am grateful to have such a supportive family and friend group to dig me out of that hole.

I support a moustache in support of Movember for men's mental health month and to remind myself that things do get better. Sometimes you have to hit a wall to realize this.

Please take care of yourself and your friends. Deal with your problems rather than just drinking them away. In the end, they're still going to be there, and you're just prolonging the inevitable. Take the time to be kind to someone or help them improve.

Sending my love to anyone struggling.

Dig deep. Don't accept defeat. You were born to run.

Scarlett O’Hanna is the indie moniker of French-Greek vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Anna Muchin based in Brussels. Her latest album, Precious Nothings, gracefully revisits peak new-wave with a contemporary singer-songwriter sensibility. Her past collaborations have included playing as a supporting act for Wilco.
