At some point, you have to ask yourself:
If I keep trading my time for money, where does the time for my life come from?

Because more clients means more hours.
More appointments means more hours.
More work means more hours.

And if the goal is more time with your family, more holidays, more freedom, more of the things you actually want to enjoy…
then working more isn’t necessarily solving the problem.

It can actually create a bigger one.

This is the conversation I had with one of my ladies recently, and it really hit home for me.

Because four years ago, I realized I didn’t want to spend my entire life simply trading more of my time for more money.

I wanted to build something different.

I wanted to create another option that could fit alongside my life, rather than requiring me to continually give more of my time to work.

Because what’s the point of creating more if you don’t have the time to enjoy the life it’s meant to support?

That’s the question I’m asking myself.

And maybe it’s one worth asking yourself too.

Summer gave me lake days, slow mornings, family time… and somehow my online business still brought in over $8K. 🥹☀️
That’s exactly WHY I built it.

I didn’t want another thing that required me to be glued to a laptop or phone all day.
I wanted something that could fit around my life, not take it over.
And now we’re heading into the season of hockey registration, school supplies, groceries, gas, school fees and ALL the “how is it already September?” expenses. 😂

I’m grateful I chose to build an additional income stream four years ago.
Because extra income isn’t just about having more money.
It’s about having more breathing room.
More options.
More choices.

Wouldn’t it be nice though? 😂☕️💰

Like… just one day someone says, “You know what? You’ve worked hard enough. Here’s your coffee, here’s $2 million, go home.”

A dream, right?!
But since apparently no one is handing out $2 million and permission to quit… I figured I’d start building something of my own instead.

Something that can grow alongside my family, give me another income stream, and a few more choices with my time.

No overnight success. No magic button.
Just showing up, learning, having conversations and building it one day at a time.

Because the $2 million would be lovely… while I’m waiting I’ll take building my own options too I guess😜
