Every day without you is a fight against emptiness. Your absence leaves a scar that time can't heal. You left without warning, leaving behind burning memories and words I never had the time to say to you.
I think back to us, to that "us" I had built as a refuge. Your looks, your silences, your laugh... everything still resonates in my memory like a song I can't forget. You were my light in the darkness, my breath when the world was squeezing me too tight.
And now? Now I live with this ghost of you; every corner of my life reminds me that you are no longer here. I smile sometimes, yes, but it's a broken smile. Because love, when it becomes longing, becomes pain.
