"When my son Joey was born, the doctor told us, "Hey, I got bad news to tell you." He showed us Joey's hands and feet and said he had Down syndrome. The doctor told me he's gonna be a big challenge.
I was there with my mother, my father, and Joey's mother, who was my fiancée at the time. Immediately after Joey's mother heard he had Down syndrome, she told me we should put him up for adoption. She was like, "I can't do this."
Then my mother told her, "You cr∆zy b**ch, ain't no one giving up my grandson." Joey's mother told me to choose between keeping our son and her, and I chose my son. She broke up with me, and I paid her $5 million in damages made to her body during pregnancy and delivery, and she left.
Then my family and I raised Joey. I've never seen his mother since the day she took her paycheck—I didn't even stop her from seeing him because she never came. But life was so good to me, and I made 2x all the $5 million I paid her to keep my son with me and not send him to an orphanage. He's my first son, and I love him so much."__ Fat Joe
