This is my 3rd time in Croatia, but my very first time visiting the breathtaking Plitvice Lakes National Park and honestly, it felt like stepping into a real life postcard.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, Plitvice Lakes is one of Croatia’s most beautiful natural treasures, known for its turquoise lakes, crystal clear waters, waterfalls, and peaceful forest surroundings. The park is made up of 16 interconnected lakes linked by stunning waterfalls and wooden pathways that make the whole experience unforgettable.

From Zagreb, it takes around 2 to 2.5 hours by car going to Plitvice Lakes National Park, making it a perfect day trip or overnight adventure from the Croatian capital.
The entrance ticket depends on the season. During summer months, adult tickets are around €40, while spring and autumn tickets are around €23. The ticket already includes the ferry boat and panoramic bus ride inside the park.
Yesterday, I explored the park by ferry, panoramic bus, and around 6 kms of walking and every single corner was simply magical.
Croatia continues to amaze me every time I visit, but Plitvice Lakes gave me a different kind of peace and appreciation for nature.
