DJ since 1994, I take you on sound journeys through Downtempo, Afro, Organic, Techno, Hardtechno, Psytech and Psytrance. Through my two artistic identities, Ajnayan and Sayko Yan, I embody two distinct yet complementary journeys:
Ajnayan explores the deep, mystical and conscious side of music — Downtempo, Organic, Afro Techno, Melodic Techno, Slow Tech, Ancestral and Ambient — soundscapes that in
vite to connect, expand and travel within. Sayko Yan carries the raw and powerful energy — Hard Techno, Psytrance and harder edges of electronic music — where intensity, driving beats and transcendence ignite the dancefloor. Born in Geneva, I spent my childhood there until 14, then one year in California before living 27 years in Antibes, South of France. Today I am based in Bern, Switzerland. My DJ path began in 1994 with Prophets’ Tribe, and soon I was sharing stages with pioneers such as Daft Punk, Dave Clark, Adam Beyer, Colin Dale, Manu le Malin, Talamasca and many more. In 1998 I started organizing my own events, and in 2004 I founded Any Gmatik, creating the biggest psytrance event in South-East France. My journey then led me worldwide, from festivals like Full Moon (Berlin) to tours across Asia and the South Pacific. After a pause to dedicate myself to other projects and to fully embrace fatherhood, I returned in 2019 to my origins, channelling both depth and power in my sets. Today, I unify both faces of my musical self — the conscious explorer (Ajnayan) and the raw energy driver (Sayko Yan) — offering sound journeys that range from the profound and meditative to the wild and ecstatic.
