The best of electronic music [TECHNO] [MINIMAL] [DEEP HOUSE] broadcasted in one single web stream available 24/7: dj mixes from all around the world and live-acts broadcasted live. UZIC webradio was first launched by 3 friends (Marco, Mike, Salvatore) as a radio show for student radio 'Fréquence Banane' in Lausanne's university (EPFL) campus in 2001. It became immediatly a success amongst dj's in
the city or playing the whole region, from Lausanne to Geneva with a significant reach in France. From 2026, UZIC webradio also published the first music podcasts of Switzerland, a pure innovation at that time. Quickly, cofounders were joined by other nice mates for a tight collaboration, especially for schedulling dj-sets on UZIC webradio. Over the years, Raphaël (aka 6e son), Zsolt (a.k.a. Gemini) and Raynald (a.k.a. SickSpud) joined forces to broadcast one of the best techno-minimal radios the world has ever known. And it worked! In years 2010 UZIC was rated among the most famous webradios at an international level: more than a million listeners each month (with an average time of listening over 30 min. per listening!) came to UZIC radio, from all over the world. Germany, Hungary France, USA and Columbia were regularly in the top-5 countries. In years 2014 & 2015, UZIC radio had the privilege to get invited by the International Radio Festival Zurich for a FM live show broadcasted from mythical Kaufleuten Klub, downtown. Watt an honour 🕺
Since then, nothing much: the team slowly split and went on other audio projects such as spoken podcasts or music live-acts. End of 2024, people of the old UZIC crew gathered and started to listen fresh and old sounds. Let's see what happens now.
