Manta is a coastal city in the province of Manabí, located in the western coastal region of Ecuador. It’s one of the country's most important ports and a major economic and tourism hub. Geographically, it sits on the Pacific Ocean, enjoying a warm tropical climate year-round.

Population:*l Around 250,000 people.

Attractions: Beautiful beaches like El Murciélago, Santa Marianita (popular for kitesurfing), and San Lorenzo. Manta is also famous for its fresh seafood cuisine and proximity to Montecristi, birthplace of the iconic Panama hat.

Nearest airport: Eloy Alfaro International Airport, located in Manta itself. It serves domestic flights and limited international connections, with easy access from Quito or Guayaquil.

As minifootball grows globally, we proudly introduce one of the most charismatic and experienced referees on the continent: Marrupe Roberto. Born in Cuba and living in Peru for over eight years, Marrupe has dedicated his life to sport, building a strong career as a minifootball and futsal referee at an international level.

Known for his leadership, game awareness, and deep rule knowledge, Marrupe embodies the essence of South American officiating: passion, authority, and commitment. His experience across Latin American competitions now enthusiastically joins the FIMA family.

“I’m very excited to join the FIMA family,” he shares. “It will be an honor to bring my experience to the first FIMA World Cup. I’m looking forward to the date with great energy and I will fully support this wonderful project.”

Coupe du Monde FIMA 2025 - Annonce officielle Points forts

Le Comité Exécutif de la FIMA annonce que la Coupe du Monde FIMA 2025 sera reportée à la fin de l'année.

Raison :
En raison des retards dans les demandes de visas et du nombre élevé de fédérations nationales souhaitant participer, de nombreux pays sont actuellement dans l'incapacité de compléter les processus d'inscription et de voyage dans le court laps de temps disponible.

Nouvelle date cible :
Octobre/Novembre 2025
(les dates définitives seront confirmées prochainement)

Objectif du report :
- Garantir à tous les pays intéressés une possibilité équitable de poser leur candidature
- Faciliter l'obtention des visas et l'organisation des voyages
- Garantir une première édition plus inclusive, compétitive et globale.

La FIMA s'engage à organiser une Coupe du Monde professionnelle et mémorable en Tunisie.

De plus amples détails et des informations actualisées seront communiqués à toutes les fédérations nationales par courrier électronique officiel dans les prochains jours.

Copa del Mundo de la FIMA 2025 - Anuncio oficial Destacados

El Comité Ejecutivo de la FIMA anuncia que la Copa del Mundo FIMA 2025 se aplazará hasta finales de año.

Motivo:
Debido a los retrasos en la solicitud de visados y al elevado número de federaciones nacionales que muestran interés en participar, muchos países no pueden actualmente completar los procesos completos de inscripción y viaje en el poco tiempo disponible.

Nueva fecha prevista:
Octubre/Noviembre de 2025
(las fechas definitivas se confirmarán en breve)

Propósito del aplazamiento:
- Garantizar una oportunidad justa para que todos los países interesados presenten su candidatura
- Facilitar los trámites de visado y viaje
- Garantizar una primera edición más inclusiva, competitiva y global

La FIMA mantiene su compromiso de organizar una Copa del Mundo profesional y memorable en Túnez.

En los próximos días se comunicarán más detalles e información actualizada a todas las federaciones nacionales a través del correo electrónico oficial.

FIMA World Cup 2025 – Official Announcement Highlights

The FIMA Executive Committee announces that the FIMA World Cup 2025 will be postponed to the end of year.

Reason:
Due to visa application delays and the high number of national federations showing interest in participating, many countries are currently unable to complete the full registration and travel processes in the short time available.

New Target Date:
October/November 2025
(final dates to be confirmed shortly)

Purpose of the Postponement:
- Ensure fair opportunity for all interested countries to apply
- Facilitate visa and travel arrangements
- Guarantee a more inclusive, competitive and global first edition

FIMA remains committed to delivering a professional and memorable World Cup in Tunisia.

More details and updated information will be shared with all national federations via official email in the coming days.

FIMA World Cup 2025 – Official Regulations

Dear National Federations,

We are pleased to share with you the official regulations for participation in the FIMA World Cup 2025:

1. Player Eligibility
All players are welcome to participate, regardless of their background:
- Amateur or professional
- Currently playing in 11-a-side football, futsal, or beach soccer
- Active in First or Second Division
There are no restrictions regarding previous or current professional contracts.

2. Team Composition
- Each national team may register a maximum of 15 players.
- Games are played 6-a-side (5 field players + 1 goalkeeper).

3. Match Format
- Matches consist of *two halves of 25 minutes* each.
- Substitutions can only occur when the ball is out of play.

4. Refereeing & Disciplinary Rules
- Each game will be officiated by two on-field referees and one side referee (next to benches).
- The VAR system will be in place throughout the tournament.
- yellow and red cards follow traditional 11-a-side rules.

5. Competition Format
- The *top two teams from each group* advance to the *quarter-finals*.
- All referees are *official FIMA referees.

All further details regarding match rules, team conduct, and referee procedures will be provided by the FIMA Referee Chairman and sent via email to every national team participating in the competition.
