Last spring’s poetry contest winner, “The Velvet Ant” by Ira Goga, is up on the Fugue website! Go read it!

The incredible Donika Kelly, who judged the contest, said, “In a language somehow lush and spare, the poem balances the description of the insect alongside the speaker’s desire for intimacy and knowing, hard won.”
