When Domino met Cody 💙🌍

It was so nice to get some fresh air and see the ponies today. The boys were introduced to Cody, their newest number 1 fan 💙

As explained in my post yesterday, I’m taking my recovery from the c section and ovarian cystectomy very slowly ❤️‍🩹 my body needs time to heal internally from 2 major surgeries which I know cannot be rushed. So it may still be a little while until I’m back in the saddle, but the ponies will be ready and waiting for me when I am 🥰

As always, so very lucky to have my mum helping with the horses while I’m taking things easy. I couldn’t do it without her ❤️

TW: Birth/Surgery

Hi everyone! I know this isn’t my usual kind of post (don’t worry it’s not my aim to change the content on here, so the horsey posts will be back soon🐴), but so many of you were part of my pregnancy journey and have asked about Cody’s arrival. So I thought I’d do it all in 1 post ☺️

Cody made his entrance a little earlier than planned - Thursday 11th September 2025 at 37+5 weeks via emergency caesarean section.

As many of you know, my pregnancy wasn’t straightforward thanks to a painful ovarian cyst that landed me in hospital many times during my 9 months of pregnancy. Due to the cyst, the plan had been an elective C-section on the 25th… but we didn’t quite make it to that date and here’s why...

On the 10th, I felt cramps while lunging Domino in the arena (typical right? 🤣). By 4am the pain had escalated to unbearable, and at the hospital I learned I was having contractions AND battling the cyst pain at a level I can’t even describe. No pain relief touched it.

The doctor came to examine me and decided that I needed an emergency C-section and ovarian cystectomy THAT AFTERNOON 😳… So I was whisked off to theatre where Cody was born at 16:01, weighing 7lb 4oz 💙 it was the most magical, indescribable feeling, but that wasn’t just it.

The surgeons discovered my cyst had caused an ovarian torsion and had twisted my o***y 3 times!! There was a risk I’d lose it, but miraculously they managed to remove the cyst, untwist it, and save my o***y. They think throughout the course of my pregnancy it was gradually twisting, hence all the pain 😣 it almost feels a relief to get rid of it!

But we finally had our boy in our arms: Cody Oliver Scott 💙

I didn’t get the birth plan I wanted, I didn’t get to create a playlist, or go through my birth preferences but the main thing is that Cody arrived safely and my operation went well. ❤️‍🩹

He’s almost one week old now, and I am utterly besotted. 🥹 Of course I’m biased, but he really is perfect. I can’t stop looking at him and I am loving this new role he’s given me. 🥺🥰☺️💙

Thank you for all your messages ❤️❤️❤️

He’s here 🥹✨

It was very nearly a shared birthday with little one making an early appearance!! But I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better 30th present than meeting our boy yesterday 🥹🩵🎂

Introducing:
✨ Cody Oliver Scott

It wasn’t the easiest journey or birth, but now that he’s here I can truly say it was worth it ALL. We’re already head over heels in love 💙🥰

Domino’s first water treadmill experience at Thorpe Farm Rehab and Fitness today! 💦

It was great to get him out for the first time in over 7 months, he was certainly happy to be doing something! 😀

We are just starting to return Domino to work following a tendon sheath injury earlier this year.

He has been sound for a few months now and we’ve just been walking him in the arena, so we thought it would be a good idea to take him somewhere different and try something else which is going to be a benefit to him 💪🏼💦

The water treadmill is low impact meaning it’s kind on joints and soft tissue, which aids horses in their rehab, as well as improving muscle tone and cardiovascular fitness — which let’s face it, is exactly what he needs! 😆

We are very lucky to have Thorpe Farm so close as an option to use the water treadmill as part of his ‘return to work’ routine.

I’m hoping that when I’m ready to get back on board after having my little one in the next few weeks, that Domino will also be ready too 🤞🏼😀🥰

So pleased with how well he behaved today for his first time, like everything, he took it all in his stride. Love him 🥰🥰🥰

August over and out 👋

HELLO SEPTEMBER = due date month!!!! 🗓️

August has mainly been about the resting and nesting, preparing for what’s ahead! 🧺

However, we’ve also enjoyed some baking for the village gala 👩‍🍳, sunflower growing 🌻 , Aldbrough fair 🎡, lots of time with the kids 👧, maternity appointments 🩺, good food 🍕 , pony time in the arena 🐴 AND… my baby shower! 👶🏼

But now it’s time for the busiest month of all! As of tomorrow (or now, whenever you are seeing this post hehe 🤭) I can officially say “I’m having a baby this month!!!!” 👶🏼 Ahhhhhhhhhh 🫣

From finding out in January, I have been counting down the months, weeks and now the days! It’s been really tough at times and felt like the longest 9 months of my whole life, but the end is finally in sight and we get to meet our little (big 😉) boy so very very soon!

I have to say though, that although I’ve battled through some horrendous days during this pregnancy, I might miss some very small aspects of this time, growing my very own little human. Once he’s here I might just look back and remember this time as being one of the hardest, but rewarding times of my life. Maybe I will miss it…. But on second thoughts maybe I won’t 🥲🤣🩵

It’s also my birthday month!! 🎂 not just any birthday, the big 30!!!! Although I do think people have forgotten with the excitement of it being my due date month 🥲 which is totally fine! I’ll either still be heavily pregnant, or have a new born to look after so not much partying going on here 🙊 I’m sure we’ll make up for it at some point 🥂 I have the Prosecco chilling in the fridge ready!!!

I think that’s enough said now, I’ve definitely rambled enough 🤣. As always, thanks for following! I’m so excited for the next chapter that September 2025 will bring. With a glass of Prosecco back in hand, back in the saddle with a little one in tow — bring it on!!!! 🥂🐴🍼

Me, my mum + our two cobs 🥰❤️

Throwing it back to January with .chapman.52056, when we attended a competition with both boys for the first time (and the youngster ended up being the better behaved one, but that’s another story 🤪).

I’m so lucky to have 2 gorgeous cobs, but I’m even luckier to have my amazing mum. Throughout the past 8 months, not only has she helped me through a really rough pregnancy, she’s also helped Domino through a tendon injury and a tail removal! (Broken tail).

She has always done everything she can for the horses, but she really has done EVERYTHING for Domino these past few months. And due to the care she’s given him, batheing, creaming twice weekly…. his tail is healing extremely well. Sadly, we aren’t out of the woods with it completely, and we need to have further discussions with the vet. But the main thing is that he’s going to be okay ❤️‍🩹 I couldn’t have done it without my mum, whilst also dealing with health issues myself.

Dexter slotted into our lives perfectly last October, and although having been turned away for most of this year, he is also a lovely little cob have a HUGE character who we are thankful we took a risk and bought unseen ❤️.

Also, fun fact, I was actually pregnant when this photo was taken but I didn’t know 🤭. On the way to this competition we had to detour to a petrol station because I felt sick and had stomach cramps. Thinking it was just nerves, I bought a pack of buscopan and paracetamol…. A few weeks later was when I found out I was in fact pregnant and kinda explained the symptoms I was having!🤰🙈

We both can’t wait to be back out competing with the boys, and with another little boy in tow too! 👶🏼🩵💙

Getting a photo with Dexter: a series 📸

All I wanted was a photo next to him, showing off our matching “round” tummies… I don’t know why he was so angry about that? 🤣🥲

But anyway… Ahh we’re coming up to 34 weeks pregnant! How did that happen? I’ve wished the time away so much in this pregnancy that now I can’t believe we are ACTUALLY in the final stretch!!! ⏱️

I am enjoying my maternity leave, I’ve been doing some jobs around the house and preparing for baby, I even have my hospital bags packed and ready to go now! I guess you could say I’m fairly ready for his arrival 👶🏼

I’m having a baby shower next weekend which I’m looking forward to seeing all of my friends. I haven’t seen many people the past few months as it’s been hard getting out and about due to pain/pregnancy related issues, so it’ll be so nice to catch up with the nearest and dearest 🫶🏼🫶🏼 and then the countdown will really be on! 😬🫣

Thanks as always for continuous support. I know it’s not the usual content or journey you follow on here but I appreciate every message I receive and knowing you are still here for this new and exciting chapter. ❤️❤️❤️

Schoooool’s out for… MATERNITY LEAVE! 😳😬🥳🎉

Ahh so that’s me officially finished work for maternity leave! I’m feeling all kinds of emotions right now. 😥 It’s such a strange feeling to step away from a job you truly love, even if it’s only temporary 🥲

I didn’t expect to start my leave quite this early, and I am a bit upset that I had to bring it forward if I’m honest!… But after a few hospital stays during the pregnancy, and a tough few weeks physically and emotionally, I know it’s time to put my health (and baby’s!) first.💗

Now with just 8 weeks to go, it’s time to rest, nest, and get ready to take on the most important role and biggest challenge of my life… becoming a mum! 🙈👶🏼

Re-sharing a few pics from Wimpy Eventer camp back in 2023, which is where we should’ve been heading to TODAY!!! ☀️🌊🐴

Instead, I’m rocking a baby bump and Domino is rocking a grass belly 😅

We had so much fun at these camps and we’re so sad to hear there won’t be any more after this year, so it’s especially gutting to be missing the very last one 💔

That being said, we will make a return to at some point. The venue is fab, so close to the beach and lots of accommodation options with your horse on site 🏖️

Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend, make it a gooden and I will miss you all!!! 🥲❤️

Just love these pics taken by 📸

A visit from Domino 🥺❤️

Loved looking out my window yesterday to a little black and white cob on my doorstep!! 🚪

Now that I only live a few doors down from my mum and dad (+ the ponies!), my mum brought Domino for a walk down the village so I could see him 🥺

I haven’t been feeling well again the past few days (cyst issues AGAINNN 🙄), so I haven’t left home, so this was such a nice surprise. I enjoyed a few cuddles and nose kisses ❤️❤️❤️

Isn’t he looking well considering he’s had months off work? Shame the same can’t be said for me eh 🫣…. And yes, I have Christmas socks on. Don’t judge 😅

A reminder of what you usually see on this account… and what I look like on the back of a horse! 😃😍

I can’t believe it’s been almost 6 months since I last rode!! That’s the longest I’ve ever gone without riding!!! 😮

But my due date is nearing (slowly but surely!), and I’ll be back behind those ears in no time 😃… which is what I keep telling myself to help me stay positive and get me through the rest of this pregnancy ❤️

Both Domino and Dexter are both enjoying their time off in the field together. They are like best mates it’s so cute 🥺

Domino is now fully sound after his tendon injury at the start of this year, but of course the extra time off isn’t doing him any harm. His tail is also growing, albeit very slowly, but we are so pleased with how well it’s healing!!! ❤️‍🩹

I put a story up earlier today to thank you all for still supporting me even with the big change in content on this page over the past few months.

I’m still posting daily stories about every day life, which lately has been a mix of moving house, hospital visits, pregnancy updates, new furniture, nail colours, LED mirrors, tornados and more!!! 🤪

I love this little corner of Instagram. If my content is no longer for you, I completely understand if you need to hit the “unfollow” button. But for those who are still here, whether you are liking, commenting, messaging, viewing or just quietly lurking 👀 thank you for having an interest in my journey…..

Onto the next one!! 🤩🥳

Okay, I do miss it. 😪

People keep asking me if I’m missing riding, and I answer without really thinking about it. “Not really. I know I can’t and I’m not going to, so I’m not bothered really” 🤷‍♀️

It’s my choice not to ride during my pregnancy, and I’ve told myself I can’t even be tempted to get on, because I know I won’t.

But today I worked it out. It’s been 198 days since I last rode a course. That’s a long time! For someone who used to be out competing most weekends, it’s a lot to go from that to nothing at all.

I’ve been watching eventing vlogs and just now I’ve been watching some of my own videos back and I’ve realised I do really miss it. I shouldn’t have done that to myself, I’ve been so focussed on this pregnancy I haven’t had chance to think about it - but now I’ve done it haven’t I 😢

Riding is THE biggest part of my life! It’s a lot to take a step back from. And seeing everyone out enjoying their ponies in the sun, with eventing season in full swing, I’m kinda wishing it was me ☹️

But, I have to stay strong. It’s such a short period of my life. We are 6 months in, with only 3 months to go. If anything is going to get me through labour, it’s knowing how close I am to being back in the saddle 💪🏼😅

Domino and Dexter will be ready and waiting as soon as I am able to get back on board. Right now, as hard as it is, I am going to continue focussing on myself and the precious cargo who I can’t wait to meet in 3 months time 💙🩵
