Mountain light never stays the same for long 🏔️😎

An alpine day can begin before sunrise, move through shadow and clouds and a few hours later you’re surrounded by snow and glaciers reflecting intense sunlight. ☀️

That’s why I like equipment that adapts with me rather than giving me another thing to think about.

AD- I’ve been testing my REACT ERVO sports glasses by react on several climbs in the Alps this summer - on rock, snow and glacier terrain, in very different light conditions. Their adaptive lenses mean I can keep the same pair on as the light changes throughout the day. 🌤️

They also fit comfortably with my helmet, which matters when you’re wearing them for hours at a time.

Less changing gear. More focus on the mountain. 😎🏔️

Alphubel 4206m with my legendary Himalaya guide and friends 🏔️🇨🇭🇳🇵

During the first 10 days of Lakpa Sherpa’s Lakpa Sherpa 🇨🇭 holiday we managed to have some epic adventures in the mountains and this was one of them! 🔥

Despite Alphubel feeling and looking like a different mountain to what it was like 5 years ago when I first climbed it, our traverse from Täsch to Saas Fee had everything!

An alpine start, a long slog over a steep blank ice glacier, a summit with incredible views 😍, a crevasse fall, a technical climb over a short but exposed Feechopf ridge and dodging huge crevasses on the way down Allalinhorn normal route 🔥🔥.

Taking a well deserved break now and can’t wait to start training for our upcoming 8000m expedition! 💪🏻🏔️

For Lakpa it was all easy of course 😁 and I’m happy that we got to share my mountains in the Alps for a change! 😍

Some mountain bonds are forged through three expeditions together 🏔️

Manaslu. Everest. Makalu.🔥

Through long and exhausting summit pushes, weeks spent waiting at Base Camp, facing the elements, surviving the death zone, sharing summit joy and dealing with whatever comes our way.

Lakpa Sherpa Lakpa Sherpa has been beside me through some of the biggest moments of my mountaineering journey with 8K Expeditions 8K Expeditions . ✨ So having him here in the Alps and finally getting the chance to show him my mountains feels very special. 🇨🇭❤️

At the weekend we climbed Breithorn Occidental and Breithorn Central together as acclimatisation for the adventures we have coming up.🏔️

For me, it was my 36th time on the Breithorn.🔥
For Simi, her third.👯‍♀️
And for Lakpa - after 6xEverest and 2xK2 and countless Himalayan summits and expeditions - his first Alpine 4000ers. 😁🏔️

In the Himalayas, Lakpa has guided me through his mountains. 🇳🇵Finally, I got to share a little piece of mine with him. 🇨🇭

From the Himalayas to the Alps. Same rope. Different mountains. ❤️🏔️

When I first started climbing, I never imagined that one day I’d be putting together a team of people from all over the world to share these mountains with me.🏔️🌎

That’s exactly what the Monte Rosa Team 2026 is all about. 🔥

It’s not just about summiting three 4000m peaks, it’s about meeting people who share the same passion for the mountains, learning new skills together and building confidence in a safe environment with experienced local IFMGA mountain guides.

🤗 Because I’m not a tour operator, these community climbs happen around my own climbing and expedition schedule. That makes every one of them a little different, and every team unique.✨

The final group for August 2026 will be confirmed very soon, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time to get in touch.👇🏻

Comment “PIZZA” and I’ll send you all the details 🍕

See you in the Italian Alps! 🏔️🇮🇹

From the Himalayas to the Alps 🏔️🇳🇵🇨🇭

This weekend, part of my very first Himalaya Dream Team 💙 came together again - two members missing, but very much remembered in all the stories and laughter.😍

Earlier this year, I had the joy of introducing this wonderful group to the Himalaya through our Everest Base Camp and Island Peak adventure. This time, I welcomed Stefano and Simi into my world in the Alps- an adventure which began in Nepal has grown into a real mountain friendship.🏔️😍

We climbed with heavy hearts after the tragedy on Broad Peak. 💔 This post celebrates our beautiful weekend together, while honouring the climbers who did not return. 🤍🕊️

The highest mountains on Earth deserve better 🏔️♻️

I took this small model of the Himalayas to the summit of Makalu for a reason.

It’s made from discarded plastic bottle caps collected along hiking trails in Nepal and transformed into a beautiful model by Sagarmatha Next Sagarmatha Next

As mountaineers, we have the privilege of visiting some of the most extraordinary places on Earth. With that privilege comes a responsibility to help protect them.🙌🏻

Plastic pollution isn’t just a challenge in the Himalayas. We see it in the Alps and mountains around the world. Carrying our rubbish back down, reducing waste and supporting projects like this are all small actions that make a difference.

Holding this model on the summit of Makalu felt symbolic - a reminder that even discarded plastic can become something meaningful.🏔️

If you’re visiting Nepal, I encourage you to stop by Sagarmatha Next and learn about the incredible work they’re doing to help keep the Himalayas clean.🇳🇵

🌍 Leave memories, not rubbish.
