By Amabo Chris Abonwi
Ateki Seta, the presidential candidate for the Liberal Alliance Party (PAL), visited Bamenda to share his plans for Cameroon with the people of the North West Region during a press conference on Saturday, August 23.
Ateki promised that if he is elected president on October 12, he will rebuild Cameroon and resolve the Anglophone Crisis within 100 days.
He plans to declare a ceasefire for both sides in the conflict, organize talks to address the crisis, change Cameroon to a federal system, improve local production of goods, and work with neighboring countries to create a new currency. He also aims to reduce unemployment over the next 10 years and support civil society activities.
As a native of Mbengwi, Atiku understands the Anglophone crisis deeply, having lost his brother to the conflict. He is committed to finding lasting solutions.
Ateki said he is open to forming coalitions for a better Cameroon," because that's what the people want," stating that his government will listen to the people's needs.
