SHOULD ISSA TCHIROMA HAVE APPOINTED A YOUNGER SPOKESPERSON INSTEAD OF ALICE NKOM ?

After days of silence, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, who has refused to accept the results of the 2025 presidential elections, appointed Alice Nkom as his spokesperson to handle all his communication. This role was highly honored by her as she took to her handles to welcome this new responsibility with pride.

While some consider this a good move by Issa Tchiroma, for choosing an experienced professional, others think choosing an 80-year-old while ignoring young vibrant professionals, isn't a good deal.

Alice Nkom has been an integral part of Issa Tchiroma Bakary's FSNC and has defended his political ambitions throughout.
Her experience in international affairs will obviously bring so much more to whatsoever Tchiroma's plans, moving forward are.

Ghost Towns in Cameroon: Truck Driver Sleeps on National Highway

As the nationwide “Ghost Town” protest grips Cameroon, scenes of total paralysis are being reported across the country. On the National Highway, a fuel truck driver was spotted laying out his bed on the road and sleeping beside his tanker — a striking image of how the country has come to a standstill.

The driver, like many others stranded on the highway, was forced to stop as transport, businesses, and public services remain shut in response to the three-day stay-at-home call launched by opposition leader Issa Tchiroma Bakary.

The “Ghost Town” protest, which began Monday, is a peaceful act of resistance against what most Cameroonians describe as a stolen election and decades of political repression.
