SIMPLE ENGLISH LESSON: CONCORD
Let’s learn together:
Concord means the subject and the verb must agree in a sentence.
Very simple:
One person = singular verb
Many people = plural verb
Examples:
✅ He goes to school.
❌ He go to school.
✅ They go to school.
❌ They goes to school.
Another example:
✅ My brother is happy.
✅ My brothers are happy.
Important Rules, please note,
“Everybody”, “Someone”, “Anybody” = singular
Everybody is here.
Someone is here
Two people joined with “and” = plural
John and Mary are friends.
Information, advice, furniture = singular
✅ The information is correct.
❌ The informations are correct.
